After the PR logo appears for the first part of loading the game up (not the server)
It turns to a black screen and pulls up the error staticmesh.fx(2): error X1507: failed to open source file 'mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx'
I have the netframework 3.5 sp1 and i have the core and levels (installed core first like said) and the BF2 1.50 patch too.
Help me figure this out please!

Re: Loading error in pr
searching the forum its seems that reapplying 1.41 patch would fix this problem
did you install it in the first place?

i'd say running 1.41 and then 1.5 could fix your problemhttp://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/bf2_2142/archive/2009/09/01/battlefield-2-update-v1-50-available.aspx wrote:You will need Battlefield 2 updated to v1.41 before you can install this update (get the full 1.41 update from Fileplay | Download BattleField 2 Patch v1.41 Full Client Patch (bf2_patch_1.41.exe))

Re: Loading error in pr
This is an error with one of the BF2 expansion packs. Uninstall them and reinstall them maybe ? (it might be that the 1.5 patch has buggered them)Dreamer wrote: It turns to a black screen and pulls up the error staticmesh.fx(2): error X1507: failed to open source file 'mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx'
And try sniping cowards advice as well ... because it almost sounds like the expansion packs didn't get updated or something.
