activation without internet

hi everyone i gave far cry 2 to me nephew as it makes me nausies lol well anyway he is only 12 and his first pc so he doesnt have internet yet, after installation of game it asks for release date check but obv fails that as he doesnt have the net so is their a way to get around this?
