Windows XP slow start up

Usually it takes about 30 seconds to start-up my computer, and be ready to do anything.

Today, I selected PR, logged in. Tried joining UKWF Insugency, and it froze. Thought nothing of it, ctrl + alt + del then exit PR and try again.

I selected the dogtags for PR, but it wouldn't start up. I didn't understand why, so I immediately opened up my web browser, that too crashed. Not being able to do anything, I paniced and restarted the computer by the reset button.

It took 10 minutes to load up XP, and a further 5 minutes to be able to do anything. I'm not at all a tech guy, so any help will be appreciated.
