Re: Insurgents should heal from the weapon cache
I think a major and on going gameplay problem is that players still believe INS should play out like a conventional force. While that isnt supported by the OP suggestion its a trend that continues. Healing at ammo caches are a interesting idea but as said removes the gameplay of a collaborator class which is part of the INS formula.
The main idea behind INS is to have gameplay totally opposite of the conventional force. And before anyone says it, yes the collaborator class is NOT finished or working 100% and we know this. But like the butterfly effect changing one thing can hugely effects another. Which is why updates sometimes have huge changes...the end result of many tests.

tbh i dont think anyone will want to play as a collaborator as at the end of the day you have no gun and thats what ppl play FPS' for. Guns!! The ins just arent fun to play as atm and one of the main problems is that once you're shot then you will bleed out and die unless you have a coalition kit.

Re: Insurgents should heal from the weapon cache
Iw said this too meny times allready but here goes:
If you get shot while your 200 meters from the enemy you have done something wrong.
Go for close combat and stay hidden.
And be a squadleader, those have field dressings
Even thou INS don't loose tickets when you die, it's not a reson to get 2/7 kdr.
Most of the time I change to INS side as i do like to harass and defend.

Something that in a way is a bit odd. They magically receive full medical training by stealing an enemy gun, but otherwise can't heal without finding a civilian.[R-DEV]CodeRedFox wrote:Bingoand thats the idea.
But I get what you are going for with INS. We are just not there yet

I think one thing is that if you start to bleed from lets say, being clipped from a car or jumping off a slightly too steep pavement (you never know...) it gets really annoying to bleed out when you havn't actually seen any enemies at all. Cache healing... maybe not but mosque healing would be pure win.

well i think cache healing is the only way to make the insurgents fun to play as. I dont care if i lose the game or not if im coalition all im interested in on pub servers is having good firefights. Not some shitty ones where everyone is dead and you have to wait 5 mins for them to regroup.

Re: Insurgents should heal from the weapon cache
Insurgents are already super fun & easy to play as, U dont need rly need a squad, u dont need to run for miles, & u win 95% of the rounds. U just mine stuff up or find a good spot to camp and wait, if ure patient&sneaky enough u'll get many easy kills as the US fails in CQB. Like sometimes im takin sapper, placing nade traps n mines, dying after some time, but in the end of the round im like, oh where did those 4 additional kills come from?
Back to the topic, I support the cache healing suggestion, mostly cuz it sux to die after U accidentally fell from some sloppy something..

Re: Insurgents should heal from the weapon cache
I've got a great idea. Let the collaborator drop as many field dressings(the dressings would need to be given back to the collaborators) as they want. Like 100 or something insanely high. But only give them space for about 4-5. This way, a collaborator would still be the one giving out the medical supplies. But, they wouldn't need to be right there beside the people getting killed. (like a conventional medic)
Instead, he could drop some dressings around the cache or in a designated location. The cache would be ideal because you could drop and reload at the same time. Piling up a bunch, but not providing an infinite supply of health.
Currently even with a conventional medic kit, you can only drop a couple dressings before they start disappearing. If this can be changed ONLY for the colloaborator class, it would be a great addition.

No on the cache being some magical first aid station.
Yes on giving the insurgents one field dressing.
(at least until Collaborator is updated)

How about we change the medic bag for the collab to a bunch of gauze and tape? Then once you click, the hands disappear and in about 3-5 seconds he gains back 25 health. The collaborator gets maybe 10 of them, enough to heal 6 or so people. He should also get a Makarov or something, solely because it's likely that civilians would be conceal carrying.

Sounds reasonable. I can't stand bleeding out for 5 minutes as an insurgent. I'd rather suicide than listen to a terrorist cough for so long.

Yeah, if the moment they pull out the medibag they wouldn't become eligible to be shot and have a 2-4 minute spawn time.

And perhaps if the civilians were shot overall a lot less, and didn't have a super-spawntime which makes even less players play civilian.
Civilians aren't useful solely due to the fact that no one wants to play one.

Re: Insurgents should heal from the weapon cache
I was making the comparison to the comment about how the US/UK heal at caches.DesmoLocke wrote:You're telling us that they can't scrounge up some band-aids or gauze pads? I don't think so. You think an insurgent doesn't have the basic knowledge to wrap a wound with a cloth to control the bleeding? I hardly think "in real life", insurgents would let themselves bleed out after turning an ankle on West Fallujah's sidewalks (I know they're being fixed).
In all honestly I have never had a problem with this. The only time I bleed out is when I got spared while the rest of the squad was destroyed. SL's have 3 bandages. And a civie has a medical bag. See no reason for my guy to carry more then he should when you have a working squad. Civies are alot more useful when you actually use them right, which alot of people have not figure out how to yet. Then you get threads like this...
On a different note... wouldn't cache healing have more people going to it? With people already complaining about people being around caches this would just make that argument stronger. On the plus of that for the Army fighting could implement a new tactic of "wound and follow". I changed my mind lets do this ...

Why not add a buildable healing station, similar to the hideouts?
