Problem starting PR

Okay, I click PR.exe and select Run As Administrator. It acts like it is starting up, screen goes black and everything. Then it just goes back to desktop with no errors what so ever.Then whenever I go in through Bf2.exe and start it up and go to Custom Games and Select PR it goes to the PLease update your shortcuts screen. No matter what i do it will do those 2 things. So please help

Operating system = XP, Vista etc.
systems specks = cpu/speed, ram installed, video card/video ram on card
network setup = cable, 4 port 10/100/1000 d- link gamers lounge/ wired conection.
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.

The more info you can give the better you chance of getting a quick answer back. You don't have to write a book, but your basic PC info is needed to help you.
