sniper kit!!!!!

this is my beloved game, and it pisses me off to see people dissobeying the rules. i was on a 10th community server the other day, i had made a sniper squad, and a guy in another squad took the sniper kit!!! i said it was asset stealing but he said the sniper kit wasnt a asset. so please tell me, is it a asset? lovin the game btw ur all much better than EA infinity ward u get the drift PR FTW!!!!!!

No not really a sniper isnt an asset usally u should name squads after tanks apcs jets helis ETC.,

but dont go crying over a sniper kit, it makes you look bad

Yes, I would consider it an asset in the right hands... But that's rare. I don't know you so I won't judge how you'd use that kit.

By definition, anything that provides a benefit to the team is an asset.

That, of course, depends on how the asset is used.

E.g.
A huey is an asset.
A pilot who buggers off in one leaving everyone on the carrier - he's an asshat.

Really depends on what server your in. Some consider it an asset, others such as ours do not. However we will not hesitate to remove players senslessly wasting the precious limited kits.

A "true" Sniper recons his target before engaging (checks server rules) and goes for one shot, one kill (PM the server admin). Posting in a topic like this is more along the lines of an Automatic Rifleman (spray and pray).


There are some servers that enforce the rule of "First squad to be named after an asset gets dibs on it", while other server rules state "First come, first served". Because there is no way to currently reserve kits or assets, it's best to try and take turns and play respectfully of each other. If someone does take a specific kit you wanted, just ask nicely if you can have it when they are done with it or dead. If someone is not using a limited kit properly, ask for an admin. If no admin is present, try another server or keep waiting. Just remember that you never NEED a specific kit to effectively support your team.

If u are a decent sniper (so you actually do your job correctly) then the kit becomes an asset. If u were playing as USMC then if u have a sniper squad i find the M21 to actually be of better value when u are just pulling recon. Most people say they are a "real sniper" but they only do it because they like the bolt action haha

Sniper and HAT kit should be pick up kits only. Prevents newbies for spamming kit request at crate and having it for they meaningless use. Experienced player knows every corner of map so they get limited kits more likely.

People who always take sniper rage me out. I mostly start 'VOIP INF' etc squads, to spawn in and find most of my squad is staring at me with snipers and marksman.....

The kit has its place, and is an effective weapons, its just insanely overused/overrated.
