Well, jeez, why bother with the fan? Just get an old, diesel powered commercial lawn mower, reverse the blade and prop it on it's side. The dirt, gravel and clippings you'll already have, complete with "simulated" JP fumes.

The blinking effect is very good.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that was your graphics card crapping out on you. That hardly looks like blinking IMO.

'[R-DEV wrote:OkitaMakoto;1146121']We're talking two different things here, youre talking about the sights themselves being blurred as they should be in real life, Im talking about the blurring of everything surrounding the sights[as in, everything not inside the sights, everything off to the sides] The sights might not be blurred realistically, I wont comment on that, but Im talking about how the surrounding world not within the sights doesnt need to be blurred as your eyes, while focusing on the sights/whats in the sights, will automatically be "blurring" the things you are not looking at.

FH2 does this blur:

Ah my bad, I quite agree with you, when sighted in with a weapon it's perfectly possible to look around have the rest of your field of vision in focus :-) .
[R-DEV]Ninja2dan wrote:
Basically, blurring the rear sight might look better, but really isn't required either. In real life I can adjust the focus of my eyes at will to bring either the rear sight, front sight, or target into focus.

Yeeees, but when you focus on your rear sight, your front sight and target go out of focus do they not? ;) Obviously we can't simulate this in vBF2 (and it would be totally pointless even if we could) so I think we can assume that our virtual soldiers would be focused on the front sight and target the whole time, thus necessitating a blurred rear sight.

However, it is only a small thing, and whilst I find it helps with immersion, I can also see that there are more important things for the mod :-) .

I also think this whole blinking thing is a bit odd and pointless too, as I actually do blink and jump when a nade goes off too close, or the tank I'm crewing is suddenly blown up! :D Thus making it unnecesary for the game to blink for you.

Lol, the next generation of realistic, fully immersive computer games! :p
