[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.

Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

i strongly recommend you to do something simple for start otherwise there are big chances you will drop your huge project halfway

if you're going to make custom static try to make them so they could be used on other maps

Nice start Zeno ;) You will need quite alot of new statics for a norway map AFAIK. Especially if its gonna be a good one. Too bad my modelling skills suck big time :( Good luck btw ;)

I would advise you to make one static at a time, concentrate on one single static, get it 100% finished with LODs, cols and fully ingame with no issues, then move onto the next static rather than doing a basic model for lots of different statics. I'm not going to bother explaining excatly why as it should be fairly obvious etc but even if it aint, it will save you a lot of work in the long run.

There are 2 main boats on Muttrah, one being the vBF2 fishing boat (which is closest to that pic), the other being a ME dhow boat which wouldn't fit into this map. There is anouther very small boat which was made for muttrah that could also be used but can only be used on land since it doesn't sit very well in the water when statics can't displace water ingame :p

ye, would still use your main practice on the main models ;)

btw you may find this topic useful since it shows some of the workflow to making a static thou misses out a big chunk of the begging: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f316-2 ... crane.html

Hmm, since Russia is like going to invade Norway, i guess this is in Northern-Norway. Norway shouldn't have much of a problem. Bombard the Russians with snowballs, flank and decimate them with Motorized Polar Bear Divisions, call in the Navy ''Seals'' to destroy their fleet and battle is won. And you can confuse them on radar with the 100000 Norwegian dialects.

Danke has a good point. Seriously.

@ Duck, since when could radars detect dialects anyway?
