BFBC 2

Post by robert090993 »

Okay, we all know of battlefield bad company 2 (i hope) if not, go search it up. This is on the verge of a suggestion, but it think it deserves some decussion. Since it is coming out on PC, wouldn't it be possible for PR to switch over to its engine? Because, PR2 is going to be a while, and i think we would all love 100% destructable envoriment.

Someone wanna post up the implied facepalm pic?

In the meantime, re-read: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr ... 2-faq.html, they've already decided on the C4 engine.

also its not as easy as "switching over" .... to get to the point we have now on BFBC 2 engine would take ALONG while, also is the engine suited ? just because it has destructive environment dosnt mean its the perfect engine to use.......

Well, there would be alot of work, but it wouldn't hurt seeing what the engine could do

Starting a mod on BC2 is just....wow... They need to focus all of their energy on PR2 and this PR, not some willy nilly new-fangled EA game.

EDIT: If you want something to play while waiting on PR2, this PR isn't terrible. :)

splitting the resources of the DEV team will prolong the release of PR2 , the further development of PR and this new PR on this new engine which probably isnt suited for PRs need.

Does bfbc2 have maps as big or bigger then the maps currently in PR? does it have jets? how many players does it support? i dont know much about the game. I really doubt it would be any good for pr2 and like others have said they already chose the c4 engine.

No nobodys gonna change the engine after years of development on the BF2 engine, also the BFBC engine isnt that amazing, the destructive envrioment can be added to allmost any other game just if you animate the destruction to the building model
