I think it needs a lot more enterable buildings. Also some heli's would be great. If there were more enterables then the cache locations could vary a lot more. At the moment there are a lot of caches that spawn in the open.

I like Al Basrah the way it is. A few things could be tweaked, or visually improved. But honestly if you want massive changes to the map, I would suggest you start fresh and make Al Basrah 2.

Things like no helis, low draw distance, wide open spaces, caches out in open, lack of enterable buildings, etc, might be someones bread and butter. What i mean is that you say you want more enterables. Great, but how about the guy who loves zooming around in a landrover, or the sniper that loves the fact that people can't just enter any building they're next to. Personally i love the wide open spaces. It's a desert, without wide open spaces it wouldn't seem right.

I'm just saying that stuff you find "wrong" with a map, other people might love the map for that reason. You would be better off just starting a new Basrah map, and make it the way you want it. There is nothing worse then spending countless hours trying to improve something, only to have the majority say they liked it better the old way.

Al basrah needs a greater view distance for a start, it's one of the most limiting things in this mod and I don't know why it isn't implemented, particulary on kashan.

because of limitations?
What limitations? I've never seen any stated by the devs and everyone who's tested kashan at 2km view distance claims it runs perfectly.

Albasrah would be a little more thorny I suppose due to the build up of buildings, but I don't think it would lower performance too much.

and all thous people have super good PCs and have not tweaked all the VDs such as the overgrowth VD etc.

I can easily run Al Basrah with a 4km view distance on my PC, but I have 6gbs of ram, a really good GFX card, quad core CPU etc etc. Most people dont have that.

sound bug was one of the few reasons they removed it. like most maps which had tanks and choppers removed. lol i once hid in a hole for 10 minutes because i thought the tank was right next to me the whole time.
