Remove the stamina meter?
Is it possible to remove stamina meter and instead of it make that your character starts running out of breath as his stamina depletes. So you can hear him breathing faster and faster until he cant sprint anymore. I think you know what I mean.

Re: Remove the stamina metter?
I dunno, since when you feel tired irl you feel a symphony of pain, increased breathing, dizzyness if you are really pushing it, and all the other physiological responses.
A visual cue should therefore remain in some form.

This is a resuggestion, but a suggestion I think everything wants, it would improve realism by taking more things off the HUD and just make things better in general.

Re: Remove the stamina meter?
ha! i thought you were serious there for a second... oh wait you are?
Howcome whenever people put together something like Hud + PR it instantly becomes unrealistic. If you havnt realized that after running for awhile your legs begin to hurt, you start breathing heavily, etc. I know we can put it in as a visual cue but then again the stamina bar represents when a person would know when there defently fit and ready for another run. I dont think a soldier sorta just sits there and waits untill he thinks hes ready to go again.
To conclude removing some hud things does not equal realism. That hud represents out feel for our own body right there.

I don't think rounds of PR last long enough to really make the sprint meter worth having anyway. A lot of people can run continuously for two or more hours. Hell some people can run for twenty-four hours uninterrupted.

Let´s not forget that we run or jog all the time in PR.Solid Knight wrote: Hell some people can run for twenty-four hours uninterrupted.
The sprint is more of a 100m dash and no one can sprint for 2 hours.

Actually yes. Lots of Marines do it in some marathons/half-marathons.N.Kuntze wrote:Also with a about 15kg heavy Body armor, a 4kg Rifle, 1kg of grenades and the fear of getting shot?

Leave the meter in or make it look cooler. This is a realism or gameplay subject. I vote gameplay because it would be annoying if you couldn't see how much sprint you have left since you can't physically feel tired from sprinting in game!

You can when you have tons of adrenaline running through your body. You cancel out a lot of physical factors when you have adrenaline pumping through your veins.N.Kuntze wrote:Also with a about 15kg heavy Body armor, a 4kg Rifle, 1kg of grenades and the fear of getting shot?

Re: Remove the stamina meter?
I dont really see how it would add anything to the gameplay, only thing it would end up doing for me is getting me killed more as I would be unable to know how much sprint I had unless I was out of (making breathing noises) and therefore would not be able to take risks such as running from cover to cover as I might run out of sprint in the middle and get wasted.

I like the suggestion, adding some kind of visual que that you are low on stamina would be good for realism. I like the suggestion of having some kind of heavy breathing audio but that could be kind of annoying when your playing constantly and always hearing this annoying breathing noise.

Well with out it how will you know when you are Feeling ready to run again?? ... Think of it this way if you were running and jumping for 10 minutes or so you would stop rest and when you Know you are ready to run again you begin. its better not to guess and hurt you self
you get the idea?

Re: Remove the stamina meter?
Well, removing the sprint limitations would help you get across those streets faster rather than walking it in for the last six meters which is extremely unrealistic.
