BMP-1 or BMP-2 not in game?

Isn't it sad neither BMP-1 nor BMP-2 are in game?
In case you're not familiar with apc history, BMP-1 is the first mass (and I mean *MASS*) produced apc, with 25,000+ produced (comparing to British Warrior that is ingame, 1000+).

I know there are some models out there, others mods are using them... Op Peacekeeper had Yugoslav BMP-2 version named M-80... And you can see some smashed ones on PR maps.


I don't know if there are any plans to introduce BMP-1 or BMP-2 in PR, but DEVs, if you're thinking about it, then please do!

actually they are not supposed to be filled when you go into battle, even if they are filled, if you're getting hit into tank at back the problem lies deeper than the fact its a gas tank

that is not a bmp, its a BRDM, compare it to us hmmwv in terms of its armour, though its theoretic role is recon vehicle

Aren't BMP-3's already in-game? They also have better weapons and armor than earlier BMPs, so I have absolutely no idea what RHYS is talking about.

There is no BMP on Asad. It is a BRDM-2.

BRDM-2 is recon vehicle.

BMP-2s are still widely used within the Russian Army.

Would be a good Russian equivalent to vehicles like the LAV-25, Warrior and WZ551. The bridge between the transport-focused BTRs and the overly powerful super-monster that we all know by the name BMP-3.

Yeah i think that it, it the one the MEC get on asad khal,

And yeah id classify it more as a armoured scout car, but we really don't need a scout vehicle in PR, maybe in games like ARMA 2 where's there is a lot of ground that need's to be recon'ed but the maps in PR are too small to really need it.

Think of it as a land rover. Used for supporting advancing infantry squads and transporting small groups of infantry. It can be a very useful vehicle.

IT can be but it also very fragile. and it machine gun could be better it spray's to much.

3. No it isn't, the M113 predates it by 6 years and over 80,000 have been produced link.
4. The British Warrior is the main IFV of the British army and we have a model for it. Isn't it odd that its being used?
5. That last one is a BMP 3, which is already ingame.
