Re: what's up with the PRL?
IMO PR should just try and get a section on Clanbase with Wooki and a couple of other guys as supervisors.
I'm sure with the close community here we could get a pretty massive petition to start with an 8v8 ladder.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
tbh its putting a lot of clans off from playing PR competitively and it's a pain in the arse for clans who want to play scrims as you can't find anyone to scrim. Im gettin pretty wound up having to look around for an hour to find someone to scrim. That's the main problem with the community sometimes is that a lot of people just want to pub which isnt as fun as an organised match.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
Yep, we here at RIP agree too - it's hard to find people to scrim against but what we really want is an official league just to spice things up more....
BTW - if you looking for a fight, give us a shout....
The PRL site should be back up soon, let's hop they make it far less 'busy' then that awful previous site.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
Since the PRL came back up originally about 4/5 months ago there's been about 5 matches on it, and most of that time the whole site has been down, as well as there being a problem with entering multiple ladders because the copy button didn't work.
I'd like to know if the R-DEVs or any of the community would support a move to Clanbase, perhaps another site, in some form. Having the PRT up is all well and good but some people don't have time for it and there is a clan community outside of it as well, and it's about time there was a place for smaller scale matches to take place on an offical basis.

i agree i think that clanbase is the way to go. Everything is set up on ther and plenty of people visit it. You myt even get a few new members to the community.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
Shame the PRL has gone wrong again, if only we had a PCW matching service or pick up system...
Anyway, I've spoke to an admin at the DL, and they are interested in looking at PR, but, I have not the time to get this running, community initiative may prevail.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
See the PRL Is a Great Idea.
But the concept is obiviously in need of tweaking. and it wasnt the Leadership Per-Say, it was the Annoying pre-packaged site as stated plenty of times. It was a great idea but when it doesn't work... ever... It is a waste of time. The PRL needs a basic uplift and get on their feet.
I still love the PRL Concept. I wait everyday for something like that to happen, Just waiting for Wookie to get the site up.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
It's been down for quite a while.
They just need a simple forum and to just get a staff running. All you need is dedicated people to run it and be able to put time into a simple plan such as this. Have an Admin team work with the community and run events if needed. And the community pairs up with each other, post the match in the forum and goes with it. They should be able to get their own servers if not then possibly PRL can support one. Problem being last time they took this to a whole new level.
Referees and such are not needed, all you need are basic admins and maybe Artist for pictures and such.
Then work the basics.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
Just so any clan leaders are aware we will be starting up an organized league in Combined Arms decently soon for any clans who are interested in seeing how your folks measure up against some other clans in a completely new and different environment. We will be fairly flexible as to how and when clan leaders want to organize matches. We've already got a number of clan leaders interested so if you are a clan leader talk it over with your mates and PM me on the forums if you are interested.
When the league is up it will have its own high end dedi servers, website, refs, match logs and replay area for reference and training amongst your clans. (Yes we do have the resources do do all this and it is all under construction atm). This league when its up will be pretty decked out, very fun, and a true test of your clan's mastery of teamwork and PR Skill. We also will likely have matches in both PR and CA whichever the clans may choose. The league will be called "UCS" or United Competitive Servers so spread the word. Once again PM me if you think your clan might want to participate just so we can get a sense of things.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
if we didnt have to play combined arms and we could just play PR normal mod then i would definitely be up for that. I've been waiting ages for the PRL to go up and have supported it when it was being ignored but i feel that things have been to slow and havent had an explantation even though im in the group. Also have been very dissapointed when the league was run that it was adminned/reffed poorly by people who had never played a competitive match in ther lives and didnt understand how things work. If we can get an explanation, dates of new league, promise of activity and staff that actually understand how gaming works instead of just bias then i would still stay with the PRL but i think if all of the above doesnt happen soon then the PRL maybe a waste of time if this new league is going up.

Re: what's up with the PRL?
True, and also that's a good point Spinky about the closing of the clan forum. I felt that was a poor move by whoever was responsible and it got negative feedback at the time.
I know the PRT is the officially supported competition of the mod but I don't think it's really too much to have 1 forum for PR clan gaming, it's not like it's a whole section which it could be.

BigWookie seems to be banned from the PR forums for a weird reason (double account) so he is not able to login and reply.
