Adrenaline Rush

Post by goguapsy »

Hello.

I don't know if this is possible, but.......

Is it possible to make soldiers and insurgents to have an adrenaline riush when getting fired upon? (ex. when you are suppressed, you get adrenaline rush).

When you get adrenaline rush...

-You sprint faster (but MUCH shorter for gameplay balance (IRL you would sprint longer and faster)
-Your aim would take a long time to settle (to balance the sprinting, as it should be used to run away and not counter-attack)
-Loud heart-beating (like in Wanted....)

just my 2 cents.

Cheers!
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Actually when you're taking fire and the juices start flowing your senses become sharper if anything. Hard to truly describe until you've been there.

Now first time of my life on these forums i need to say that is not doable :P atleast what i know someone can ofc prove me wrong (screen or it didnt happen). You cant change those sprint factors on fly...

This could lead to severe epipen overdosage ingame, not sure about it tbh.

True, I haven't been there. But yeah I've had adrenaline rushes before (probably not nearly as intense as if you were getting fired upon) but yeah.

And as we can't make "slow-mo", I suggest individual speed up (for balance, very bad aiming, as this rush should be for you to run away!)

...what?

And well, I do think that if adrenaline rushes are doable, this could lead to some interesting new gameplay... as Masterbake said (not sure what he meant BUT...) perhaps if someone epipens you while you are still alive you can get an adrenaline rush. For example, to cross an area of fire quickly (let's say, you are hidden in a building and needs to cross the road, but there are enemies overlooking it), but still not being able to return fire if you're ever fired upon for the next, what, 5 secs?

Of course, 2 epipens in less than 10 minutes = death.

If you are being suppressed, why would there be an increase in running speed?

when a soldier is suppressed the last thing he wants to do is stand up and run. All those bullets flying over his head spells death. if he gets up hes liable to catch a bullet. If your being supressed by a MG with other small arms i suggest you smoke up the place, wait for reenforcements or wait untill the MG is out of ammo.
if you miss him... try, try again

I don't agree with the OP, however if your getting shot at it I don't think your going to run of out "stamina" in the middle of the street.

its for balance you know? cuz then it would be worth epipenning or auto-suppresing your team mates to run a lot...

He removed the element of gameplay balance, which would be run a lot LESS (NOT MORE as in the thread you posted), but faster.
