When you started playing PR what was your Shock and awes?
Mine was when we were getting extracted. We flew over AA's and lived. Then out of no where we see a plane fly right at us. By that time we were dead and lost the game. It was pretty intense.
It was my first time on the TG server, R-DEV Atlantafalcons, Fuzzhead and a couple of other big wigs were flying Transports on Kashan 16 back when it had humvees and vodnicks, the level of organisation was fantastic.
it was in 0.5 seeing a large mechanized infantry column with LAV25 Humvees covering us and cobra's/a10's flying past and dropping bombs on al basrah *Good times*
My favorite memory was when my gunner and I destroyed 32 vehicles (10 Tanks + 22 other various vehicles) in a row without a death (we were in an Abrams). This was back before the rise of tow missiles on every vehicle. It might not be that impressive, but it was the first time that I was like. "Damn, organized teamwork rocks". After playing tanks in PR, I cant tank in any other game. I love to drive, so when I have to drive and gun, its annoying. Too bad PR is doing away with the domination of the tank. Now, tow Humvee or tow apc is the way to go.
My awe was the fact that everyone had mics, and they followed orders. I was yelling like a *****, and they were like "OK!". And i just stood still since they responded.
Was weird.
And i really liked the way suppression and flanking worked!
A long time ago when playing as PLA on Qwai, moving over river to sneakily the city from an unguarded flank. There was alot of combat going on around us and in the distance; it felt just as if i was playing a single-player campaign mission of a game, but then in multiplayer with real people, no scripted stuff and actual tactics and teamwork going on. That was awesome
First time I ever saw the area attack. Our squad leader said that he requested the area attack on that little village on one of the Chinese vs US Army maps, so I was thinking to myself "sweeeeeeet". SQL said that once it hits we're rushing in there to mop the place up. Seconds later I hear BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, and my audio was up really loud too. I jumped but I really didn't say anything, I just had that "oh...my...God..." look on my face.
Finding a cache on Karbala.
Calling in the LB's, quickly followed by the strykers and immediately followed up by a Jdam drop and a infantry assault. Needless to say that the enemy was very quickly overran and the cache was destroyed.
Great coordination between all asset units, the CO and myself.
It may be a glitch, but its an awesome glitch. I was driving around with my squad in a A2 Bradely on Fallujah, taking out insurgents left and right, when we got IEDed. Thing was still living though, but smoking, then we took a rpg while driving down the backroad to avoid IED's to RTB. Thing caught fire and was tracked, so we got our kits from the back and ran away. As soon as we all got out of the Bradley, it came to life with no one in it and started driving around in circles, then blew up in it's third circle and killed half the squad while they were watching.
