[?] Good tutorial for skinning?

I haven't been playing PR for the longest time (only about 6 months), but I really love the game, and I figured I could do something for the game. Anyways I'm pretty good at GIMP; I know its in and outs and I've been using it for about a year (on and off). So I was wondering if there was a good tut for first timers or if someone could sort show me how to skin

I'm also burning to learn how to skin/reskin stuff. I'm just afraid it takes too long to learn properly? PR could be at 3.0 by the time I've gotten the hang of it
