But to the people who have their doubts because they think the pilot could die outside of the chopper: I have very rarely seen a pilot get TK'ed when he's not in a helicoper, even on maps like Muttrah or Barracuda where people can be standing around on the eck for a long time.
Plus, having the pilot worth more tickets would also dissuade people from using them as paratroopers, which is now very uncommon anyway because the pilot no longer has a pistol.
All I'm saying is that pilots who can handle their helicopters well and make succsessful emergency landings shouldn't be punished simply because they were shot down.
I can say from experience that it is very difficult to land a disabled chopper in PR, but not impossible.
In the rare occurance where it happens and the pilot escapes alive, he should be rewarded, not punished with losing 20 tickets for his team.
Plus, it could make for some awesome search and rescue missions...
