More Natural Cover, just too exposed most of the time, in most maps.


Korengal Valley I think is my Fav map thus far.

Man whatever you do pls do not use any kind of grass which is only rendered up to 30 meters.

The A-10 in a forest type area like eastern Europe, Kashans all very good and all but I'd like to see a sea of broccoli as I fly rather than plain old sand XD

Lol - necro thread. Im made the thread before I made my map. You can see details of it here (It should be ready for exclusive RT release in a few weeks - it now has almost double the trees :) )

Most mappers will have a vision in their head of what they'll want to make, and not many will make a map "to order" . The BF2 editors there for anyone to use, so if you have the time, then get mapping, and make the map you want ;)

Looks like a good map!

I like the idea of Apaches vs. Frogfoots.

I know it is quite possible to shoot down a jet with the Air to Air missiles on the Apaches... should be fun. 8)

It's about time someone did US Army vs Russian Army, too.
That is an epic contest of powerful armies. :)

Need a map with a bunch of blown up cars lining the streets. Would make moving up roads easier.

...Shouldn't we have the F-16s dealing with the froggies instead?

It'd sure be nice to have F-16/2 Apaches as the air and ground vehicles for US, and the Flanker/1 OR 2 Froggies in a foresty map against the RUS.

Well, to be shelved until the attack helos are as effective as the Froggies.

tis a bit late, but maybe in any new maps that you might be making consider some peviously destroyed buildings, like with grass and stuff growing over them depending on hte story behind the map.

and why the hell have we not seen any graffiti around? iunno about IRL but i assume as society starts to collapse and the tanks start rolling past, theres bound to be someone tagging up everything they could find.
like, i was in an abandoned warehouse the other day, and there was graffiti on EVERYTHING!
twas a pree cool place...

I imagine potential mappers could come here for some inspiration. But then again you're the mapper so :P

It's a great map btw, had a mess around flying over it. I'm not sure how it will play out but my god is it beautiful. It would be nice to have in an official PR release, although I guess having it exclusive will improve the RT community.

I'd love to see maps with adventurous terrains, trying to push the boundaries of the engine, and more tactical vantage points. And it should really feel like a war zone, some tasty destructables and graffiti

More of the Dynamic buildings (E.g. slums houses) that can be destroyed would be nice - but I don't know if this makes stuff lag or what not, I just know that one round on karbala, fighting out of one of the two story buildings with huge holes in the walls thanks to the LB (Thanks to that Pilot I could actually shoot my RPG at the Humvees :D )was just cool.

That video doesn't show double the trees ;) - its now got double the amount shown in the video.

And no - the map wont be in PR under any circumstances apart from on locked Reality Teamwork servers.

oooooh... and I thought the tree placement was very realistic on that map. Sounds even more epic.

I thought it would be quite a good infantry map with the clumps of forest sort of spread out. I can foresee good firefights on it. A good armour map too with the foliage cover.

i agree there is a lack of environment in some maps.. but hopefully its getting fixed with the new maps, undergrowth, and shadow effects
