[Help!] bf2editor engine - rendering issues

Post by SkyJumpy »

Hello there!

I started using bf2editor some days ago with the intention
to get some high-res minimaps out of it for planning etc..

After setting it up according to the tutorials in here it all went well,
i was also able to prozess the minimap-tutorial.

but for some reason I run into problems now following this very tutorial.
There is one step where i have to use the "Lightmap Generation" to render all overgrowth as static objects. So therefore i choose a simple object and lightmap the "selected object"

at this point my rendering-window goes crazy.. although the minimap-generation seems to work fine still. i add some screenshots to make my point :)

all still ok

setting up the lightmap generation

strange "anomalies" appear in the background..

after its finnished i end up like this

Image
minimap-generation looks fine, rendering-window gets darker with moving around
maybe someone can help here, would be thankful :)

I think I had this once when I had triple buffering and vsync enabled in my nvidia control panel.

playing around with the (ATI) graphics card performance/optimation
options does not seem to help in any way. (Tripple buffering, AA, Vsync, Mipmap etc)

although i had some success with just selecting a different object (other rock etc)
before applying the generation. while its rendering there still are those black fields
wandering across - but after that it works fine.

so if this means that i just have to find the right object to select on every map i
guess i can live with that... ^^
