Fixing Bridges!!!
Ok last patches you where able to fix bridges using a wrench with the engineer kit....
v.87 no longer fixes stuff with the wrench, only destroys mines, etc
My question is: HOW DO YOU REPAIR A BRIDGE NOW?(ive tried bringing a repair crate with the supply truck and it wont fix bridge, can anyone help me?, it also doesnt state how to fix bridges in the game manual)
Thank you for your time.

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
More realistic now, cant be expected to fix a bridge with just a wrench.sergio00-colombia wrote:Ok last patches you where able to fix bridges using a wrench with the engineer kit....

Everyone knows that you need a wrench, hammer, Zip Ties and 100 MPH tape to fix EVERYTHING in the world. Engineer kit only has the wrench.

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
IMO I think it is good to have a method to repair even if it is slow like the repair staions used to be.

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
^ Depends. Basrah for example benefits greatly from bridges being destructable (that west bridge should be too) but having fordable areas as well. This rewards an organised INS team as they create their own chokepoints.
Fools Road's bridge is eventually going to be made non-destructable as its just too easy to pwn the Russians otherwise atm. but tbh the repair dynamic worked pretty well here as the Militia could blow up the bridge, delaying reinforcements but not destroying the map's gameplay.
Kozelsk clearly does not benefit from a destructable bridge that cannot be repaired. its such a small bridge as well that its very funny tbh to see tanks etc stopped by a 8m wide gap where some wood used to be.
Perhaps the DEVs should make the small bridges repairable, but the big ones requiring a deployable, that would make more sense. Or the old idea of a reparing weapon that had limited ammo and had to rearm at crates. etc
but thats covering old ground

that would be sweet if the engineer had access to something like this.

New bridge opens pathway for IA in Kirkuk province

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
As long as maps like Fools Road exist in which it is possible to entirely destroy a team with a single block of C4 (Even several bursts of .50 fire will take that one down), bridges should be repairable.
Maps like Qwai are a grey area, technically blowing the bridges is very advantageous to the chinese, owing to their apcs being able to float, and the US having lost their mobility advantage, but the US team still have one way across the river which they can use if they hold it tightly. In maps like these I'm really hoping for a bridge repairing solution that takes time and is fairly easy to detect from a moderate distance. That way if the team wants to commit to fixing it, they can, but it's not something one guy and a truck can do.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

You know, having bridge layer vehicles would be quite epic.
Having said that i would love to see them in PR2

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
Maybe we could have a buildable asset like the FOB to repair it. You need 2 supplie boxes and a SL to request a bridge repair station, then the grunts need to build it up. When its up, it will take a short while for the britge to get repaired.

it should be more than 2 supply crates as it would encourage teamwork and tactics

Re: Fixing Bridges!!!
making it just 3 would make most SL say "sh*t, this is taking too long"
Life is cruel, if you choose to see it that way.
