strange uberlags/Fixed!

Post by Lowjoe »

Hello,

sometimes when i try to connect to a server and click at the deploy button my game freezes and i get a sound loop. then, after like 30 seconds, i'm on the map but the message appears which says that i have a connection problem. well, of course i find myself back at the server browse screen with the message: your connection to the server has been lost. when i reconnect everything is fine and i can play pr without any other problems... not. after some minutes the next lag for about like 10-15 seconds but at least i can play on and dont get thrown back to the main menu. this is just one sort of the lag. the other sort is a bit more like the first one. the game freezes and i get the soundloop again but this time it lasts for 30 seconds and this time i get disconnected again.

but remember: this appears only sometimes. it's very random. theres i think a 50% chance that i can play the game without any issues.

what i already did is:
- i udated punkbuster manually
- i eliminated the possibility that my firewall could be the culprit
- i did what this thread says: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... emory.html
- i set the texture quality to 'medium'

so i think thats all.

i hope that someone can help me :)

When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
O/S,
systems specks,
network setup
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.

For connection to the server has been lost try:

Select Punkbuster B, right click, select properties, select the recovery tab and make sure they all say "Restart the service" for all three dropdowns. You can do the same for PB A, but generally speaking, it's the B client that stops responding. Any time you update PB, you may need to re-do this step.
