ACOG for Rifleman Specialist
the ACOG for Rifleman Specialist would be nice since its already limited with no grenades and completely useless in long range fights like on op archer were it would be nice to have a rope but you need the ACOG to fight across hills. the ACOG would make people want to use the kit because they can see at range without having to use binoculars. so thats my opinion.

I'd be happy adding grenades, but having the aimpoint on this kit does help keep the acog/iron balance going well.

The specialist is geared to help people in urban environments, and the aimpoint goes well with that.
Though I'm still one to lobby for players getting the choice of what gear goes into their kit.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Re: ACOG for Rifleman Specialist
would it be possible to use the gun selector for different guns like you can on vanilla bf2 for the upgrade weapons

Re: ACOG for Rifleman Specialist
The upgrades as used by default in vbf2 are global for teams. That'd mean that anyone could swap from their gun to m4acog.
Short answer that option for user choosing gear has been looked over and deemed hardcoded.

Re: ACOG for Rifleman Specialist
the problem with adding a scoped rifle to the specialist kit is the same as adding a scoped rifle to a medic or engineer kit in that its on the verge of making them super kits. if you gave the specialist a scoped rifle, now no one is really going to used the regular scoped riflemen which means youl have plenty of guys running around with hooks {and probably lone wolfing} but no one around with any ammo bags or grenades.
thats why those kits were given ironsights. its because your primary job isnt killing people, they are support classes. medics heal, engineers lay mines, fix vehicles etc, and specialists provide the rope and breach doors. killing is secondary.

Please NO!!!! The only thing the kit needs is either an extra incendiery or a frag grenade. NO ACOG!!!

You can't compare machinegunners to riflemen. A few grenades is the only thing he needs.

The specialist kit is kitted out with the Ironsight/Aimpoint because the KIT is specialist for clearing obsticles and imo clearing room's/building's this is why you have a squad and have riflemen chuck a nade in then as soon as its gone off in goes the specialist.

On a serious note, I play specialist alot only because of his rope and often find myself in the need of frags because trip flares are set off by friendlies just like nade traps. Only difference is they don't care when it's flares.

Aimpoint is fine. HE HAS A MOTHER F***ING SHOTGUN!
Slug rounds own on specialist, i they get inaccurate but I love the aimpoint more than the acog.
Acog SUCKS.

This isn't call of duty, aiming for reality doesn't involve giving soldiers swat cqb weapons.Scared_420 wrote:rifleman specialist should have a cqb weapon not a m4 with acog that is silly,,, give him an mp5 or p90, also buckshot for his shotgun

I would suggest a M4A1, automatic variation. More deviation, longer set-up time, but full-auto makes it a suitable again agains MEC Crewman or insurgents AKs.Scared_420 wrote:rifleman specialist should have a cqb weapon not a m4 with acog that is silly,,, give him an mp5 or p90, also buckshot for his shotgun
