Incorrect child objects on various flying objects

Post by Drunkenup »

If anyone has noticed the F-16 has 4 Sidewinders to use, but if you look to the left and right, there are only two shown. This is one of a few vehicles that use incorrect child objects. You can fix this by removing the fuel tanks, moving the LGBs and adding a pair of AIM-9s to match the code. The same problem is shown in the A-10 and AH-1z, where they both use the 7x2 Hydra launchers instead of the 19x2 they should be using, easy fix, just replace it with the launcher that the Apache has. These are all low priority with all the other things the devs should be working on, so I wouldn't mind and I'm sure the community wouldn't either if this be held back towards the 1.0 release and further.

Lol, you're wrong in three ways. The AIM-9 is the Sidewinder, and the things on the wingtips are AIM-120s.

1) You can´t remove the rocket pods, they are part of the model. The A10 one is just wrongly textured (or textured for rockets much bigger than 70mm). Could possibly be fixed by adding a child object over them in the case of the cobra but not really ideal. Fuel tanks can´t be removed either.

2) This requires someone to put time into moving them, so you need to find someone who thinks aircraft are important enough to dedicate the time to doing it.

In that case you mean that the models would have to be redone to show the correction. In that case I would be that person who'd dedicate the large amount of time to redo it.

Its kind of a bug, just how the dummy weapons work when fired related to mags.
