Hello to any who care to help out, here's my situation:
Recently I got a new faster hard drive for all my high end games, so pr gets to jump in there. I cannot find my bf2 CD1, so i decide to install a cracked version knowing that i have the vbf2 key somewhere on my old hard drive and can use it, but i cannot find it anywhere in writing, i upgraded from XP to vista for this new drive, i can run vbf2, and PR but i cannot join a multiplayer game in PR without it stopping me and saying "invalid CD-Key" Now I am wondering if im gonna be able to find my valid cd-key that i played with on my old drive?? Any suggestions?

Re: CD key invalid help
Don't use or talk about 'crack'
Just download a new copy of BF2.
It's free with your online account.
If you don't want to reinstall and have your old installed copy but don't have your CD/DVD you can use a 'mini disk image' of BF2 mounted with a 3party app like DAEMON Tools Lite to play without a disk in the drive.
The 'mini disk image' can not be used to install the game and you must have a valid online account to play.

All tho it's been said many, many times before...
When looking for answers please follow these simple steps.
#1 : Read the red stickys First.
New PR proublems are rare so most answers can be found here.
The #2 red sticky is:
Troubleshooting Guide: Your CD-key is not valid
99% sure your answer is here, or:
#2. Use the search feature on PRs web site or GOOGLE IT!. Often the quickest way to find what your looking for when you have an error message.
#3. You have spent some time trying to help yourself, but your ready to ask for help:
Please remember to include your basic PC info in your post :
Operating system = XP, Vista etc.
systems specks = cpu/speed, ram installed, video card/video ram on card
network setup = cable, 4 port 10/100/1000 d- link gamers lounge/ wired connection.
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.
The more info you can give the better you chance of getting a quick answer back. You don't have to write a book,
but your basic PC is needed to help you.
Good luck
