Laptop makes odd and worrying sounds.

Sometimes, and random occasions, my laptop will make a "clucking" sound and then it will beep from the internal speakers. I have no idea why it does this.

My harddrive's regular temp is around 50 degrees - and this is normal for this laptop. Once I was stupid though and got into the mid to high 60s.

Run a check for bad sectors and errors, if you get a few your HDD may be on the way out, make backups.

Thanks, I tried it out and I got all green squares, so the HD should be okay.
