Is it possible to create some kind of magazine dropping effect in game?
its like a used magazine drop on the ground after reloading weapons.
bullet charger, that little metal clip holding the bullets

i would think they would be more protective of their magazines as they dont have a multi million dollar budget buying them new toys.goguapsy wrote:why not insurgents drop their clips... do they really do tactical reloads? hmm...
Well I would also believe that they would be freaking out and waste all of the bullets in their mags. I mean, the multi billion dollar budget is spent on making US soldiers know how to save mags...ankyle62 wrote:i would think they would be more protective of their magazines as they dont have a multi million dollar budget buying them new toys.
Guerrilla tactics, insurgents use them. And ofc, that means using everything at hand, and NOT wasting reusable clips/mags.goguapsy wrote:Well I would also believe that they would be freaking out and waste all of the bullets in their mags. perhaps. Well, insurgents do depend on guerilla tactics to win battles, but when I think about it, I think about some patriotic speech or anti-american speech in favor of their "motherland"...Tannhauser wrote:Guerrilla tactics, insurgents use them. If talibans are still fighting up to now, it's because they're smarter (tactic-wise) than many might think.
and that's where the cache comes in...goguapsy wrote:perhaps. Well, insurgents do depend on guerilla tactics to win battles, but when I think about it, I think about some patriotic speech or anti-american speech in favor of their "motherland"...
And yes, I do believe they would keep it like gold... but perhaps, in PR reality, insurgents cannot load ammo anywhere I think... which means they drop ammo, while the americans and conventional armies "resupply" on the supply crates (new mags or just putting rounds inside a clip...) but yeah, IRL they would keep it.
As far as I know, after the last bullet is fired, the magazine holder in an enfield gets tossed out with a ping, so the soldier in question would have to search for it on the ground. At the time nobody thought of magazine retention. I might mistake it with whatever the Americans used in WWII though.[R-CON]motherdear wrote:well magazines are not dropped in battle but are reused and put in the mag pouch, only during tactical reloads would it be even remotely thought of doing it that way.
clips like those are not saved though to my knowledge, MA's would know better
and btw it's called a clip

I shall ask the grandfather when I next see him as he served with the RE back in 1940, but then again with old age he may not remember.BloodBane611 wrote:Read:
I would be interested to know whether soldiers kept or discarded the clips, but I would assume they kept them. They are fairly small and very useful.
