Hi, Monitor issue :( with PR
Not sure where to post this ,
I just switched from my 22 inch monitor to my Western house 26 inch hd lcd tv.
Its got a DVI connection that im using. I hooked it up and eveything boots up fine. adjusted a few settings , the TV runs at 60hz but when I look in my video card settings it goes up to 75hz and I have the box checked that says only show what hz the monitor can surrport. 50, 59, 60 , 75 hz.
I ran left for dead 2 and it worked great, so I clicked the icon for PR and nothing, I mean it shows it clicked it a black screen for a sec and back to the desktop. What gives?
any ideas ? my video card is a nvidia g force 9600 gt.

Go to My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\000X - where X is your profile - and open up Video.con.
Check the line that reads VideoSettings.setResolution, and check the Hz setting there. If it's wrong, adjust it and save the file. For example, mine looks like so;
VideoSettings.setResolution 1920x1200@60Hz

ok it worked with notepad. it said the correct mhz at 60 but the res was diff, it had 1280x 1028. This new monitor only goes to 1280x 720 so I clanged that and saved it and rebooted and ran PR and still nothing.

Check if you have multiple profiles, maybe you changed the wrong one?

Try setting it the same as your desktop res (1280x 720?) @ 75Hz
You will want to use WidescreenFixer as well
Good luck

Not as far as I know. It just trims your view so you don't see a black band on the top and bottom of your screen.Zrix wrote:Widescreenfixer is obsolete as of BF2 1.5, no?
