Fill the urban maps with vehicles. Both factions usable

Post by Jorgee! »

Hi guys, this time i want to suggest this:

Fill the urban maps, like Ramiel, Sunset City, Jabal, Fallujah West, etc, with more, much more vehicles and variety.

Also, it should be available for both factions (USA, MEC, INS, TAL, etc), or makin only "some" of them usable for the second team (USA, UK, CH) depending on the type of map (Imagine you find the keys inside the car), or also, why not, not available for anyone.

But it would be cool to have more destroyable objets inside the map.

Thanks!

This has been done before, mainly on Muttrah, and it ended up with a lot of people driving around running people over in civilian cars (not fun or realistic).

Removed for a reason, and not coming back.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Then make it unavailable for both factions, but fill the city with it.... would be nice!

IE: Mutrah docks with trucks, or the river with Boats

There are already numerous unuseable vehicles dotted around the city maps.

Yes, but those vehicles are static objets, you can't destroy them, you cant pass over them....

I want real vehicles to give the maps a little bit more of reality.

that would eat in to the destructable object limit, which increases chances of map crashes afaik.

and if they were vehicles theyd do the same to networkable object limit.

understandable desire....but we are really at the edge of bf2 capabilities...and I just dont think stuff like that is gonna make it...

too many limitations... could be fun for future versions as long as it didnt get too spammy and become car wars...hehe..

Resuggestion & Not possible. The BF2 engine has a limit on the number of networkable objects, which makes this idea untenable.

Locked as such.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
