New Game Mode: Insurgent Leader Hunt
Got an idea for a new game mode. This is a rough draft of thought here.
Insurgent Leader Hunt

In this mode, the coalition forces must locate and kill or arrest the insurgent leader before tickets expire or time runs out. They must do this 5-10 times and each time they get 20 reinforcement tickets. This mode would be similar to a cache hunt except that the target(s) would be on the move.
Once enough intel was collected, the insurgent leader's current exact position would be broadcasted, for a short time, to all coaltion forces on the minimap in real time. The leaders location could be represented as a slightly larger red as he moves about as if "real time" intelligence was gathered. The larger red dot would prevent the exact location from being known but more or less put him within a 10-20m radius.
Insurgent leader intel would also be immediate upon the actual arrest of ANY insurgent. Killing insurgents and searching their bags (kits) which would require more instances of that for intel data to appear (identical to how cache hunt works)
The Insurgent forces would NOT know when the coalition received or were receiving their map intel (unlike how they do now with caches).
The insurgent leader should be the commander unit.
The insurgent leader could have a distinctive appearance if coding allowed although this is not absolutely necessary.
The insurgent forces would obviously try to defend the leader which would mean intense firefights and a cordoning off of the area OR they could try to hide him and keep him on the move which would be difficult because they wouldnt know when the coalition received intel on his exact location and if they didnt adequately protect him when his location was revealed, they would be screwed. Remember: insurgent forces would not know when the coalition had an intel update on their leaders position.
Weapon caches could still be present in this mode and would still offer the allies 10 reinforcement points upon destruction but could also give immediate intel on the location of the insurgent leader to signify the collecting of intel at the cache location. The primary goal would be to kill or capture the leader X number of times for a win.

I lost my text... gotta type what i said again...
ok what i had said was that once the colition had got the intel needed that it would show a position the insurgent leader had just been in. The dot would remain stationary and would give a general idea of were to search. the dot would remain for 5 minutes or untill new intel was recieved.

I'm pretty sure similar modes have been suggested, and I definitely like the overall idea. I don't know if its possible to put the insurgent commander's position on the map for the coalition, but if t could be done as you suggest I like it.

This isn't a new mode, we had this in 0.4! Raid on Moskiye and Gulf of Aqaba. Good times.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

YEA!!! cool idea.
And on this mode the commander (the leader) can command without being on a radio.
There will be no uncap for the insurgents just a few random spots on the map for them to spawn to prevent him from hiding in a uncap.
And when commander you can ONLY select the new "commanders" kit which has a pistol with lots of ammo, Binocs, phone, 1 nade, ect..... And he is dressed in a officers uniform kinda like Osama Binladen.
And on this mode the commander (the leader) can command without being on a radio.

Ahh I missed that version. Was it not fun? Was it implemented differently? Would it work now?

I would have to infantry only though, right? Maybe with some transport helos. Any armor/attack aircraft would be make this mode too lopsided.
Wouldn't it be kind of weird without a lot of civilians running around? Wouldn't the US/Brits just drop a bomb on the building holding the insurgent while tracking him with UAV if the city was completely deserted of civilians? Otherwise this kinda sounds like fun, provided people on the Ins side actually work together.

Well the only way i can think to motivate people to be the VIP with his special VIP kit would be to make it for every 5 minutes this guy is alive he gets 1000 points. I mean alot of people like points. Also the commander should probably be somebody diffrent just so the VIP concentrates on staying alive.

The whole points system is BS and everyone knows it. People will take the kit to win, and as a backup there should be a system to select a team member to be the insurgent leader.

If it isnt hard coded then every time the leader is killed a new one would need to be selected. But, as COD4MW2, you cannot make dedicated servers (players). Only home made servers (players) which, by default, have a low connection quality (dedication).

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
