[Help] Importing

Post by mushking »

Im using 3ds max 2010 and have set up the import and export tools but when i try to import a model i get this: ~Unknown property: "importfilemesh" is undefined and then a load of code comes up on the left but no model is imported, i extracted both object_client and object_Server into the same place. Any ideas?

So there is no way to import things made in anything above 3Ds Max9? Can I save the files in 2009, then open them in Max9? Or will that work?

you can export it as .obj(iirc) and then import it into max 9, but be ready for fixing errors

Into max? I wouldn't do that if I was you.

You are not allowed to edit any models, either made by DICE or the PR team. They are copyright protected. The only way you may alter any models is with permission from the team and the models creator with full credits if permission is granted.

Yes into 3dsmax, only want to see how the models are done and play around with them for practice.

errr NO so PR is a MOD there are official NO copyrights but sure it is not fine to take a model of anyone else without permission

errr YES there are official copyrights. By law we can take legal action against anyone who tries to steal our work.

you can look at models in bf2meshviewer, there is a link to it in community modding section
and play around with them for practice.
