Killer Assets
No i'm not talking about killer boobage. Probably a well known one, when placeing assets as a SL i have to make sure my SQ is at a safe distance as i often end up crushing someone when the asset spawns

It's because the asset spawns by falling from the sky at high speed, basically squshing the player if they are in the way. I really don't think there is a way around it. 
I'm assuming you know this...so why are you reporting it as a bug?

But yea, the assets spawn 20 meters up and then fall down, that gives you the suppression effect, and sometimes the asset spawns in the wrong place and plops you on the head. It's also why you can't build inside the bunkers (on Kashan) very well.
