enter the building, clear it, have your saw gunner and medic cover your six as you move through the building. remeber to frag every room.

however...

if your out matched..... evac the area to a Rally point or Forward Outpost (on foot) and call in CAS. no need to risk an asset in a hot zone thats gona take time to respawn.

Posts deleted. The issue that was brought is not the sort of issue that the moderation deals with in the public forums.

We are aware of the situation and it is being delt with.

Any more of this being brought up from anyone will result in infraction points. This is the position of the moderation team and until further notice there will be no further discussion of the aforementioned issue in the public forums.

Welch, I am going to argue you on this one. A SAW gunner is more for an area security than a close quarters combat team. I d suggest letting your medic and two of your rifle man, any more than 4 guys to clear a floor you got a problem. Leave your grenadier and SAW gunner outside to provide outside perimeter, they can always skip inside to provide security once floors are cleared. And we can agree that theres no need to call in an asset of such magnitude for something that a half way competent infantry squad can handle themselves.

For real troopers that have training , yes, for a clan or group that has trained together , yes..... hes correct. for the average player....maybe not the best idea ( though hes holding to true current thinking).

More than 4 in a room clear is a crowd, hes right and you deffinatly dont want your medic clearing rooms, and there is a mix in the military about clearing rooms with saw's ( we did it in the 101st but no one else likes the idea) i thought about leaving just the 2 guys out side in another building in a support by fire position or over watch, and yes genraly that how i like to operate, but unless a team has worked together your risking a FF incident as your team moves through the floors. personaly i would prefer 2 squads working together. 1 SL w 4 rm clearing, and the medics/SAW gunners/GL's/other SL on overwatch/ support by fire.

most common, ( Marines may do it different) is that you pick a spot large enough for all birds and supplies, come in at map of the earth, (make shure that your flight path is low and keeps you away from AA, might be a good idea to have a squad on the ground that has snuck in to check the area.) and as soon as the bird touches down haul but to the nearest tree line. some times there will be a fake insert but not always. alwasy defend the LZ, it is your life line, so i would have a squad set a FO between the LZ and the direction of the OP4. build up your defence's and start to send out patrols.

Say your zooming around Fallujah West in a humvee with your squad, and you come across a landmine in the road. Would you suggest avoiding the area? Fetching an engineer kit and coming back to clear it? Securing the area while 1 person goes back for engineer kit? Calling in another squad with ENG kit.

I'm always at a loss for what to do in PR when i find mines like this. Nobody seems to want to take action against them, and would rather just drive around. But often times when you see one mine, there are more, and often IEDs around, and sometimes a cache is near. I'm curious what you would do in this situation during a pub match, not with a well trained clan.

untrained pubers? avoid like the plauge. circle around it, mark it on the map.

2 out comes, it was thrown by a retard and hes not over wtching it ...or....its part of a complex attack and your gonna get your butt smacked by a trained sqd.

Answer was incorrect but due to OPSEC this will not be discussed on a public forum.

Magnet, mind telling me which part of OPSEC that is? Its all over the news, Ill have to verify my sources but Ill find out for you.

And if your talking MRAPS vs. the Hummers then I can see the OPSEC, but otherwise the HMVEES are common knowledge...Black Hawk Down is a perfect example of what a direct hit from an RPG can do. Cheers

Its been outfitted with Optics before mate, in Vietnam some of the snipers experiment with scoped .50 cals, basically the older versions of the Mah Duece, and would engage enemies at range with it. Think of it as an archaic version of the M82.

It's because of the use of M2 with fitted optics that there was adoption of the .50 as a sniper round. For a long time, the longest infantry combat kill was held by a Canadian who used it for exactly that purpose.
