When I'm a member of an insurgent hit and run squad who's objective is to kill as many OPFOR as possible it does help to know how many you've got.

I voted at the end of the round, for a long time ago. Now I really just want it off, even for squads. The reason being that there are many individuals that only play to get i high K/D ratio, for them and their squad, and don't care of the team looses the last flag as long as their K/D remains good. This doesn't change i you show it at the end of the round. This can truly destroy teamwork on a server.

Remove kills, but show deads (a.k.a. lost tickets) and vice versa for insurgent factions.

Probably said 1 million times in this thread already (only red through part of it).

Confirm kills by looking at stats destroys part of the immersion this mod has. When i played this mod for the first times i always went to location where i shot enemy and checked if he was down, since back then i didn't know there's delay in updating stats and i can say it was very cool and rewarding.

Now i just confirm kills by opening stats screen which is not so cool at all. Stats exposes too much information at this moment IMO.

If possible there could be also squad stat system which gives hints how good your squad is doing by generated score of whole squad and then show squad performance in stats menu "Poor, Weak, Average, Good, Excellent, Outstanding" without need of exact numbers but promoting squad teamplay.

Showing scores just makes very good excuse to play solo, which can already be done in any other FPS.

Scores shouldnt be even shown at the end... people will still play for score!

So my noob sniper-only retarded friend said, "if there wasnt score, i'd do recon", since there is score, hes CQC-ing with sniper rifle...

Squad based K/D is definitely the best choice.
Because with individual score, people are just looking at their score and trying to get as good K/D as possible. If it was changed to squad based score, people within a squad wouldn't compete for the best K/D, but instead make sure that the entire squad is doing well.

And make it squad based, not team based, as there are always some in your team being worthless.

Your kill count is a big part of the fun, it's a mental reward, that's very important to keep the motivation.

I think it should be made exactly like in TF2 where only your points show up an your kills and deaths show up only for you even at the end of a round you dont know the other guys KDR.
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.

If they make it squad based, then you'll have to work with your entire squad. And to get a good score, you will have to make sure that your squad is doing good.
If all of your kills are counted together, maybe it wouldn't be as boring watching the your six, as you still would get the kills. It basically will force you to work together in the squad.

I say... remove the Kills counter. I've seen to many blokes grab a SAW and camping somewhere for kills as 40 kills and 3 deaths. They normally do this just for every one to see, but his score is still lower than the rest. To him, it's wanting to show how good he is with a SAW as a lone wolf. Anybody can do the same. That's just annoying.

It's so simple, but so great! Remove the death count too, though.

I often find I play better/worse depending on my score. If I've got 2 kills and 12 deaths I really won't make an effort to play fantastic 'cause I know I've been sucking, but if I have 8 kills and no deaths, I REALLY try not to die (and thus save tickets).

I think removing the kill/death counter, but only showing it at the end of the round would be a great way to go.

In-game, more focus and attention would be paid to achieving squad/team objectives, rather than your own K :D ratio - Plus, although they got rid of Heskey [F1 Grenade] thejollyro123, if they give up immediately you can check if they've dead. By removing the scoreboard, you would never know if they ran from the explosion and are now still out to get you.

Think about it, it's reality, no? ;-)

At the end of the round you can reveal to yourself that you're really really shit. 8-)

Showing score list in the end of the round - that my choice!

Absolutely agree with that.

Only one problem... Voting lasts for a whole year. Came out many versions of PR, but there is no any changes to the topic under discussion in game. Pity.

And this sanction would force them to teamplay or at least would stop them playing just for the kills.
OK but then what? In the same logic then we should also remove death counter which is much more useless then the kill counter. And of course point counter too. Who gives you points in real life because you placed a nice wire on the road. Or take points because you lose a limited kit when you die? And actually on a second thought is really flag capture bar exist in real life? I mean do squads really have mambo jambo indicator like that which does not move because it senses enemies around?

My point is somethings are just for fun guys. You can't get out the fun part of it! I want to know if I killed my enemy or not and I want it written there. As so I want to see my points up when I done my job right!

Voted yes.

I'd rather see something a tad cooler put on the tab screen, like a topographical map or something that can work in conjunction with the Caps Lock screen.

Overall its just more of an E-go tool, I top scores occasionally but feel embarrassed as it makes me look like a dickhead when people say 'see you like building firebases eh' or whatever.

Squad based K/D sounds fun to me.. but I'd appreciate it it were just removed totally as well.

Players might be hardcoded, but the mod's rules could do much to make people behave more sensible and teamplay oriented.

I think they should add ranks. It would intice a lot more people into playing the game. And they wanted more firebases that would also equal an increase in rank.

theres my crying about ranks
maybe the best way in my opinion about scoreboard is that show only winningside results in the end of the round.its a little lure to the players to work as a team and make the winning just a little bit important.
win the game with teamwork and see your stats.
lose the game with goofying and constant waste of assets=no stats.

and tip to those who dont wanna see any stats...dont push the tab button.
