[Insurgency] Kidnapper Kit

I was playing Insurgency last night a I thought I would check the *** today for kidnappers.

The reason this came up was I was constantly hunting the APC on a round of Al Basrah, hiding under everything that APC's got close to, and I even Sniped a guy in a Landrover 50 with my G3 on the first shot.

In comes the Kidnapper Kit. Why should Blufor have all the fun. Why can't there be a kidnapper kit that effectively does the same thing to the Blufor,. arrest or in this case, kidnap. Although it would be a strictly limited kit or for only limited kits, I think increasing the Blufor time will make them more cautious when they get too close to that berm or when they think its a good (i)dea to rush into a house of insurgents with his trusty SAW. Plus it would make people more interested in staying alive (Blufor) and even hunting(In this case OpFor), which I just love doing in this game.

It may be from lack of sleep, or an influx of stupidity on my part, but I'm having trouble understading what you are suggestioning exactly...You mention stalking the Blufor as an insurgent, and then mention something about creating a kit that does what you just did? And what exactly would a kidnapper do, compared to an ordinary INS kit? Sorry again, but what do you mean by "Increasing the blufor time" (..Spawn time? But what does that have to do with a new kit for INS?) Why is a new kit needed? :confused: :confused:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are suggesting that the insurgents get a kit that allows them to zip cuff bluefor, hence causing the bluefor to incur a penalty of some kind?

make it 3-5 min respawn and -5 tix for bluefor, -5 would be for loss of morale for an abducted troop and the long respawn would simulate being away for awhile

im still loling at the ninja kit comment, but caling it the "kidnapper kit" is a bit up PC, maybe insurgent officer should have this ability./

Gamewise, Give the kidnapper a short range dart gun that insta-kills if no friendlys are within 25m that simulates drugging the man and then kidnapping him.

Tasteless!?!

Then why are you a DEV in a game that has Insurgents killing Blufor, and Bombcars, and Blufor killing Civilians and Destroying civilian homes.

Its a game, and its not a Hippie kit, although technically it is. (Before anyone else responds, look up the definition of the word "Hippie" and its etymology.)

Everyone else, thank you very much for clarifying my post, this was exactly what I was looking for.

I was just thinking of Game play and this came to mind when my heart was pumping adrenaline when I was 20 meters away from the APC's.

I actually like your cell leader ideas to allow them to Arrest/Kidnap. This would make it a squad leader decision, And not everyone could use it...at least that's the idea.

how would u even make kidnapping cool? sounds like all you could do is kill them which makes the knife kill a humiliation instead? the only idea i thought of was to make it so when you punched them they got a kit without a weapon and only an animation of their hands tied up. maybe make them unable to move? but idk if that is even possible. what made me think of that is when the pilot survives and your standing next to enemys unarmed :(

Guys common be more construtive.

Besides we can still make a kit that Steal abadoned vehicles.

that will teach those punks to not abadom anymore they vehicles.

but hijack a tank, it's evem dificult do get close combat whicht sapper? evem if this kit exist, evem you and you char will need to be ninja.

sorry because i can't play anymore i just keep reding i kwoning what is going on.

but when i have time, i get a sapper kit, and a friend a AT, one go make a distration, and other blow whicht a RPG!, i may not kill it, but i will make a good distration, and possible a kill whicht the IED.

this works men, maybe the sapper guy may kill he self, but anyway.

men, i kwon how this is hard. belive in my. Kinnaping? this is war! and not The crims.

Making suicide kits (and other similar kits) will only increase the smacktardiness and civi killing, which will make it not be played at all eventually.
