SAW gun scope tatics?

okay am getting fed up of getting killed by insurgents when i have the SAW at close range, whats better to have the scope on deployed or undeployed when walking? because at like 5m undeployed is the best i know but at 40m undeployed sucks and by the time i get the deployed SAW out i get flaked and killed aand so dose the rest of my sqd coz the guy took my kit..... can anyone suggest anything without saying usa another kit?

just keep it on undeployed and stick to cover untill you can find a good firing position, you should be able to hit or atleast supress people whitin 70 meters or so whit the undeployed SAW

The M249's terrifying Accuracy should be reduced to show some spread in the next patch. The other tactic is to use the Ironsighted M249 which is to make its return in 0.9 (with a strip of Rail). The Scope equipped M249 is something I've thought about for a while, especially in undeployed. It really is something that needs to be rethought.

What I've come up with in 2 minutes. In undeployed mode, Give the SAW mediocre Hip accuracy to allow quick ultra CQB fire up to 20 Meters. Allow it to zoom in to a lower Magnification (2x), with a Lower, faster settling, accuracy, and a much wider spread to provide limited suppression until you are able to get to a good spot to get deployed and deliver more accurate fire.

For CQB, keep it undeployed and when you see contact, keep shooting and do not stop.

the thing is i do stick to cover i do find a good postion its just AK47s beat SAw in close range most of the time but what the best way to over come this?

the m249 is THE best weapon in game for CQB. use "undeployed" mode and right click and the SAW becomes the best weapon upto 50m~

if used right, the SAW's are THE most effective weapons in the game at ALL ranges. when walking , and in CQB situations use "undeployed" . when looking to fire, or in a position that has LONG sight lines, use depolyed.

There will be, you'll just have an option between scoped and iron sight versions.

SAW undeployed in CQB > everything. It's sooo good, just aim, point and click, all you need is some sort of understanding where the centre of your screen is and you can get tons of kills.

You make a very good point Gazz.

I think it's a matter of personal preference.

The amount of screen-space (visibility) the scope takes up while undeployed could also make a difference in a CQB environment.

ironsight version will be superior on maps like OGT imo, or other maps with lots of foliage cover.

true in away , but you wont be able to shoot and move deployed so you will still need to use undeployed so that will be the same. just with the scope i can reach out and hit at long ranges if needed in certain situations.

dude is that a serious question???.... when walking you keep it on PARA mode.... it has a muuuuchhh faster aim time / time it takes untill you can fire accuratly once you press aimbotton.. deployed mode is only usefull for long ranges and when your camping peoples heads from across a field lol....

Aim down your sights when undeployed because deviation = 0.
