Post by [NOR]StigAndre7 »

I know it's far from the release, but I really want to make sure what ppl think about a PR mod for BF3. And/or if PR group is thinking of this also :? :

Everybody say "AY" for PRmod to BF3 :!:

When we actually get to see what features BF3 will have, we will make the decision then, but I wouldnt put it out of the possibility.

If its 100+ players, with huge maps and those new fancy sound engine and physics engine, I think it would be hard to get us NOT to get some kind of minimod started on it ;)

However, if all other games are any indication, a BF3 might just be a consolified game with 24 max players, smaller maps and tons of unlocks and pay to play content to line the EA pockets.... we shall see what way they take, but BC2 does not look like it supports mods, not sure if it would make sense at this point for DICE to include mod support for BF3.

Its all speculation until something is announced officially.

I expect someone would make a 'PR style' mini-mod if they could, whether they're officially associated with PR or not.

A bunch of Desert Combat players made Desert Conflict for BF2, whilst the original Desert Combat developers became Kaos Studios and created Frontlines:Fuel of War. Sadly the community for both of them died out quickly and dramatically but the point remains.

The Dev's will pursue the most logical avenue to advance Project Reality. If the communities input is needed it will be requested at a future time yet to be determined.
