Lack of teamplay in PR

Post by Xbrad150X »

Hey

Since PR got an advert posted in Vbf2 i have noticed a lack of Teamplay in PR servers. but the gamemode that has suffered is Insurgency and I hope this changes due to the Lash map coming out in 0.9 ( or ealier  ). There is very few squads play together and are usually spred out "lone wolfing".

just want to see if you guys have noticed.

I hate how bots don't go where I tell them to go, they don't understand the first thing about teamwork, especially those stryker drivers, I mean who do they think they are?! But I will say they are damn fine medics, and 79% are Johnny on the spot with ammo.

There are servers that have teamplay. However I do see alot of new nilla players since the ad. Some want to learn the ropes, others dont. It's up to the server admins and players to promote teamplay. Our server -=Blackwater=- is one of those, no exceptions.

Tactical Gamer was an Excellent Server. Yeah that's right, I said that, go a head and BAN ME from your server now!

Regarding the quality of teamplay on a server it's always up to its population, how statisfying it will be.
This means that you will only have good rounds if the admins are keeping an eye on how their "guests" behave and the amount of "regular customers", who are both experienced and used to the rest of the regular clientel, which is always useful when it comes to squad coorperation.
Actually it just needs a few of those ppl being SLs to have decent teamwork, even better if they are all on the server's mumble channel/server.

I'd highly recommend you to visit the TG server, which has a high population of experienced english speaking players. (you'll also see a pretty high percentage of ppl from this forum there, afaik)

In my own opinion, the 10-community server is Europe's finest... if you're able to speak german, because that's the predominant language there, but there's always a decent english squad available.

I only play on the GiB Server (West Coast Express). 100% Teamwork when I play.

If there is crappy teamplay on a server I just leave it. But like Myru said it always depends on the server population.

Not speaking to anyone direcly, as I havent played with any of you to my knowledge, but I often notice that the people who cry the most in game about a lack of teamwork are the guilty ones.

For instance, I was playing with my fellow clanmates and this rambo (term for lonewolves that we use) came up and started blazing away at random things (garbage bins etc). Needless to say this gave away our position and enemies came calling. In a move that proves their is justice in the world, he was gunned down immediately upon making contact. He was in a dangerous position, and thus our medic didnt risk his life to save the guy. Well, the guy died and started bitching at us saying "oh you ******** why dont you heal me whatever happened to teamwork in this game" followed by a "your clan is ruining this game". What this idiot failed to realize was the hypocrisy in his statements and his actions. HE was running alone by himself, HE was ruining the game for us by exposing us, etc etc.

Just an experience I had anyways, not reflective of all of PR, but just on some of the "seedier" servers haha.

yeah i have to agree, numerous times ive kicked people from my squad who have been (literally) other side of map lone wolfing only for them to rejoin and have a go at me, these people genuinely think they are working as a team. these are the type of people who disscon then go on youtube and complain how "PR IS ShIT!!2!one!!"

I have to say I didn't notice anything unusual. Or perhaps nothing compareable to the release of a new PR version - thats what really seems to attract a lot of new players. It is also a good idea to play in the evening when the servers are full of clan members and regular visitors.

I haven't really noticed it
but I do when I play on the insurgent side during Insurgency
I guess some people just don't want to talk on mics when they are insurgents :P
or.. they're sneak playing ;)
