UKWF!

big shout out to a great server with lots of good quality play every night.

I do have one suggestion:

When you guys stack out one team with members I understand that you all have more fun because you obviously enjoy each others gameplay since you wear the UKWF tags. However, it does turn into a bit of a scorch fest if the other team is less organized and it usually is. I would suggest running together on a stacked out team but then putting a limit on how many rounds you dominate the other team. You could run together until you cap out the other team 2 or max 3 rounds in a row and then start mixing in to the other team. Mine is obviously an observation from firsthand experience and it occurred last night. I had never experienced that sort of thing on UKWF before so it might have been a one off evening. I had the misfortune of joining the server and then promptly getting autoswitched to the 'bad' team within a few minutes. The next round was on Ejod and we got capped out in about 5 minutes or less and then had to endure jeers and taunts. Then after about 8 minutes of Kashan16 I just left the server and went to bed because it was quickly heading into cap out again.

To reiterate: stacking out UKWF tags on one team is not bad and I am not saying that it is so. What I am saying is that if you quickly cap out the other team two or three rounds in a row then I think, and I am sure most of you do to, that it is a good idea to start mixing the teams to keep teams balanced.

Of course, what happens if the UKWF stacked team gets capped out every round...? Well, I think that scenario is so unlikely that I would put money against it. But, if it were to happen then you could also mix into the stronger team and balance things out a bit.

Again, great server, lots of fun, love Shavid with all my heart, just a little suggestion which can be put out with the dinner scraps if need be.

Ive been on teams that have caped out a UKWF dominated team in under 10 minutes, they wear admitedly the only people working together on the oposeing team

Nice to see Exo and Violet back on the servers, always got on well with them (even though shes a mute)

I will pay 50Euros to a commander that caps out an opposing team of 85% UKWF tags on any map. L4gi, there's your money. That is a lot of Karelian pasties. (for you non-Finns that is a specialty from the mother country.)

By the way, do you guys run smart balance in your server?. If so, can you give a link where we can propose our tag please?

Get switched all the time and ask on the chat to be switched back is a pain for the admin (especially when it is 32/32) lol.
The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities... It is best to win without fighting.

Pm or post here your clan tags and I'll get them added. We do run Smartbalance, so if the server was 32v32 you'd be able to swap until it was 33v31.

Cheers,

Shavid.

UKWF is a good server but now I go more to TG because of the large amount of mumble users. Any plans to increase mumble usage, like for example having all UKWF members on mumble when playing or kicking non-mumble users for mumble users?

we dont tend to use mumble at the moment on UKWF due to the fact it still has a few flaws, eg annoying individuals on it that you never seem to get rid off, its a great voice comms dead clear but until the annoying people learn not to be so annoying or mumble has its flaws iorned out then I doubt we will be using it that often, but do stay tuned for possible mumble nights ahead on UKWF server, you may not see many ukwf members on it due to us using vent as well which can be a tad bit distracting when you have vent, in game voip and mumble on, but the mumble server is still their and is used by a few players.

I enjoyed the Reality Mumble Server until I got so tired of the childish, stupid chatter. You can't legislate maturity.

We did change host, since then problems have been greatly reduced, the problem we had today was a one-of, the rest are server side which we are working to fix.
Most of the GDW have xfire, try grab one of them as they are quite open i find.

Cheers,

Shavid.
