That one was typical awesome "oh ****" moment.

Insurgency server, 64 players, Karbala. I was playing insurgent, while two caches spawned on southern part of map (in small town by the river) in neighbouring buildings. Whole team defending there, 2 hideouts, a lot of action, seems like US is gonna loose this round. I decided to defend western, as far unnattacked flank and took position in G7 palace, with one more guy, who was setting nade traps there. Our entire team has been defending that caches for good 20 minutes so far, when i heard enemies entering that palace. I set with pkm on the top floor, waiting for them to go on the stairs. Other guy with his SKS did the same. Now we hear them running, shouting, have our nerves twisted BANG! SKS guy got headshot, now im alone with pkm, see US running up the stairs BOOM! they hit grenade trap so i thought: ok, that guy was sapper, if i was a sapper defending in that palace, i'd put few IEDs on the ground floor to stop enemy attack, so i pushed forward, took dead sapper's kit, yeah! the cell phone! US prepare for a little surprise! beep - EPICBOOOOOM!!!

... and so, message area was too small for all the teamkills, so they kept on scrolling sadly during next few seconds.

I just to warn you: never, EVER detonate other sapper's IED untill you are sure that he didnt have enough time to mine ENTIRE damn town with every single building in it!

A "oh ****" moment that ended up with us getting killed (and once not).


First the one I didn't die:

My 3-men squad on Kozelsk were trying to infiltrate Hill 163. I then decide to go up the hill by the ladder. After taking around 1 min to get everyone to climb at the same time and therefore make less noise, we start walking up the ladder. After, what? 5 seconds or so I see a PKM on to of the stairs "OH **** EVERYONE SLIDE DOWN!" He didn't open fire, but I think he saw us. Well, then we continue to move around the hill to go up on a ub3r-s3cr37 spot we found out earlier to climb the Hill. WELL! We climb it, ok, then a new guy joins. I go to make rally (it was beta version) and I slide down the hill. After we start going up again a Spandrel shows up. OH ****! We got missiled to death

Barracuda, I got dropped off by a friendly chap from [RIP] to go do some recon and make sure the next LZ was clear. I'm halfway through a gap in the chain-link fence of the airstrip and see movement to my right.

Two PLA troops looking mildly surprised in my direction and evidently quicker on the draw than I was.

I believe I may have said rude words instead of pressing left mouse.

While defending the Taliban castle on archer a Humvee some how got up and drove inside the courtyard. Thankfully someone managed to destroy it before it caused real harm.

Ok, story time.

Was on blackwater a few weeks ago, defending a chache on korengal valley. The cache was in a painfully hard spot to get to, and really easy to defend. Me and 3 other people destroyed thier entire team, who happend to be coming into the same area. Explosion city.
I am watching a door and- BOOM!! a grenade explodes next to me...and i get shoved into the wall i am lying down next to, glitching into it. I shit a brick.

OK So... I was playing Operation Archer and well, we were americans. We were assaulting the village and the SL parked the HMMVV somewhere in front of the village behind a hill. After I checked with my binos I say "I see 2 insurgents, one RPG". After saying that again, I say "OH **** MOVE THAT HMMVV!" An RPG misses the HMMVV by 1 inch. I hop in and drive to another cover. Another RPG just misses. I go forward and stop. I think "Ok I shouldn'tve stopped..." I press W and BOOM dead. The guy that (was) on the .50 cal "Why the F Did you stop??!!" And the SL gets mad...

Here's mine:

Muttrah City, playing for the US side. Being choppered in on a Huey with my squad, the pilot decides to land right in the very same hot zone we got fried in only a few minutes ago. Surprisingly, we get peppered on the approach, and the chopper starts going down.

Just before we hit the ground I manage to get out, and micaculously survive the impact. Not quite able to believe that I am unhurt, I turn around only to see the wreck of the chopper rolling towards me. I barely manage to get out of the way. A second later, just as I realise that I am the only survivor, a LMG starts opening up me. I leg it to the nearest cluster of houses in a manic zig-zag, get into cover and catch my breath.

I realise how lucky I am: In the last 30 seconds I've almost been squished by impact, incinerated by fuel tank explosion, crushed by rolling wreckage and shot by high-velicity rounds. I spare a thought for my poor comrades who did not make it, and with grim determination decide to avenge my squadmates by taking out the enemy gunner who tore us out of the sky.

I lock and load, make some profound, movie-moment-like comment on the VOIP, and step into the road to begin my very own private war....

...only to be instantly mowed down by a friendly APC that just happens to zoom down the road.

'Oh ****' doesn't quite cover my reaction I am afraid...

that happened to me 4 times in a row as I was trying to revive my dead squad..... I'm surprised I didn't die/
