[R-MOD]KP wrote:Dude... The M82 is semi-automatic. And .50-calibre. Do you have any idea of the tardery that will attract? Seriously.

And why's everyone so keen on mirror-balancing everything, even to the point of ignoring realism? Did no-one read my previous posts?

There will always be tards in PR so we have to ignore them, but we have to focus on realism, and most of all make it fun to play PR.

Lowering the zoom was a good idea :p

About the overpowered shit: having a cobra on Muttrah City, isn't that overpowered? or apc's against taliban inf soldiers? an apc is a way more effective that the M82, so I really don't see the problem :p its great to have a lot of apc's on one team but not two poor M82 snipers,,,

Its the mappers task to balance the teams with adding less cars f. ex. if they get one transport helicopters etc.
Let the infantry weapons be there, but balance the teams with the vehicles they will have to disposal for their team.

i absolutely agree with you pleym.

i dont stop playing fools road just because russians get lots of tanks and APCs.

i dont ragequit on muttrah because the cobra is owning all our apcs.

You take the god damn AA or AT and TAKE CARE OF IT!

this is one of the things i love about pr: the (un)balance

the opfor`s sneaky tactics with often underpowered weapons but superior fighting possitions.

the bluefor`s superior firepower and range but looses to the enemy possitions

even though US have supperior weapons to the taliban on korengal i have yet to see a round where US have a crushing victory.

if you want perfect balance, go play vanilla!

And will the HK417 marksman have a silencer?
What about M72?

But is it realistic to have M82 as a regular sniper rifle :S

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

allright guys, quit the M82 discussion now, this is a thread ment to be used as a questions and feedback thread, but we have filled it with sniper rifle discussion. this decision will be taken by the NF team when it is needed, it is not a issue yet.

now back on topic guys

I will not tolerate "but it is on topic"

Weird to see that you are still working on your design plan so long after the begining of your subforum. :)
