Mumble Help?

I wasn't 100% sure where to put this thread, so i thought here might be the best place.

I know many people get the alt-tab crash ever since v1.5, and i have tried the EA release fix and it hasnt seemed to have work, so i was wondering, how can i join a mumble server if I have to alt tab the game to join the right team channel?

On TG for example, they have Team1 channel and Team2 channel. While im ingame i will have to alt tab to change to the right channel as obivously i dont know what team i will be on before hand. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions and whether im jsut using a very out dated version of mumble. I'm currently using the 0.5 PR version mumble, as the tutorial only had guidelines for that version.
