Was thinking of creating...

Post by HomeInvasion »

I have only been in the community a few weeks now so please excuse to newbieness of this post. I have been looking for a Tactical Realism unit with this game ever since I first loaded a PR map. To no avail I am left empty handed. So who out there is interested in a "Milsim" unit? Of course no real life exp is necessary but of course is accepted and welcomed. I would of posted this in the PR Clan area but it seemed that was a place for actual clan listings. Thanks guys!

There are a few realism clans out there, just about anything with MEU in it's name. I'd look them up if I were you. Starting a clan is hard and even harder to keep going, even more so with realism groups, because lots of people here don't want to deal with the discipline. I went threw 2 clans before I got one to stick. You might also look into the PRT they play with structure, tactics, and discipline, if you can get past the E-Drama.

The Clan Section is were this should have gone, but I'm going to leave it here so you can get some exposure to the general public and maybe someone else will come to help you.

Best of Luck,

This one is from a real-life infantryman. For the times I talked to him he seemed to know what he was doing. (The thread was locked I don't know why, but you can PM him to get to the website.)

Also, you might wanna take a look at TGs In-House Squads. Check it in the forums at tacticalgamer.com.
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

I appreciate the replies guys. I have know about tg for quite some time now since I am a vet of ArmA and ArmA2. I played with them yesterday but somehow got caaught up in a squad where the leader was hacking since he found 3 Cache's without them being revealed and was able to find them within 1min of each other. So hopefully they don't look down on me for just following a guy who couldn't speak English.

funny u saying that, i was playing on Karbala i was ins and this 1sqd on the US side was blowing up caches like the was no tommorow, if there was a cache on 1 side of the map that wizard sqd would be on the other side blowing a cache that wasent showing....weird...i didnt really think it was possible maybe a glitch etc but if u have seen this than hacking is possible in PR.

p.s maybe hacking in pr is abvious,i didnt know :o ops:

I'd suggest the PRT Completly just like Thermis has stated. They have a Chain of Command and are to the point. Intense real PR Gaming only at the PRT

normally there is a banner or something when the signups open for the next battles.

my only prob with them is the time really, they all seem to take place when either my internet goes to **** and i cant even watch youtube,

& there is soooo much faffing about before it kicks off, i know there is probably behind the scenes chain of command stuff going on but damn some like to chat...

still i have restrained from joining the last few because my last i had to stop as it clashed with my fencing and this year im working nights most week ends so thats me out =(

was fun going on a pub server after training though.

The Tournament will open sign ups "soon" since even the CATA armies are in need of ~20 people. Probably "the" place to be if you want realistic teamwork (and e-drama :D )

Me and a friend, on a humvee, looked in almost every house in several zones of the map, and for 1 and half hours we couldnt find any ... only to after some minutes see markings on map (when we got the intel) about possible location of cache, and we go there, and cache was right in one of the houses we (supposedly) didnt check or that we checked so quickly that we didnt see the cache.

Few rounds later, we see a squad going directly at each cache on a jeep, we follow them and they go straight into a house, and boom, then directly into another and boom, and 3 more times like that... we were like... wtf?!Oo, even with ghosting (friend on oposite side spotting caches) it shouldnt be so fast to find caches...

As for the clan, the =34th= (34th RedBull, just like the real one) is accepting responsible players, drop me a line and we can talk about it, or even point you out to some other clans if you choose not to stay with us. Good luck.

Link to the PRT forum is at the top of this one, it says TOURNAMENT, and is on the far left of the top menu bar.

Or

You could follow this link: Project Reality Tournament
