Yeah not much of a showcase-thread. There's alot of old media, why not put it here?

Lutefisk wrote:I am making the barret skin, its very close to done but we cant get pics up due to the fact that I dont have any of the files that makes me able to use it ingame and pleym has problems with the build atm. i was finished with the winter skins but due to some model changes I need to start over on those then make the desert camo and woodland camo
Im not sure, but i thought its max 2 camos for each weapon, preferably just one thought, DEVs want to keep the download file small. And once again, i dont think that Barret will be accepted by the DEVs.
PS. Nice work on the map zeno!, and nice flare ^^

It is pointless to show half done projects, and it would also take a little of the joy away from the creator, don't worry the Norwegian forces are getting stuff done, soon you will see a lot of new stuff, like Lutefisks new soldier skins.
Also much of the old stuff will be made better, or completed, at that time it will be put here.

Meh, MØR.

which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Are we going to be allowed to use the MØR?
If so, how effective will it be?

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces
Why do I have a bad feeling about that sniper rifle...? (yes, I read that it was a supplement of the LAT)Idk why, but I keep on thinking of that weapon and a supply crate next to it on high ground. How much ammo is it supposed to get, and how will deviation be like? Why do you need an extra anti material weapon, if there already is a LAT and a HAT? Will the Norwegian Forces fight against an overwhelming amount of armoured vehicles? And why couldn't you go for the AWM? They seem to be using that weapon too, so why wouldn't that weapon do the job?
I know I'm bitching, and of course the decision is upon thou, but there's been quite a lot of commotion about the .50 cal in PR...

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces
the map its going to be used in have lots of vehicles in them so they shouldnt have problems with the sniper, the viewdistance in the map are also 1,8 km and the bulletdrop for snipers will make it hard for them to hit anything at that range unless you are skilled with it, i think that will result in "noobs" not taking it because they cant compensate correctly for bulletdrop.MonkeySoldier wrote:Why do I have a bad feeling about that sniper rifle...? hopefully players that can snipe correctly and know about bulletdrop, camuflage and spotting will find this rifle usefull and use it well.

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces
The MØR/M82 have a 10 bullet magazine, you will have to prone to use it. you have 3 mags and will have to use around 15 seconds to empty the magazine, if you shoot to fast you will not be able to stabilize the weapon again after you have fired a round.single.shot (nor) wrote:Are we going to be allowed to use the MØR?
If so, how effective will it be?
To empty all of your three 10 round magazines, you will use around 1 min included re-loading. So it will be effective to take out targets inside vehicles, but you wont have time to destroy a "truck" or "car" if its moving, you don't get enough time to shoot
So its not a "overkill/overpowered" rifle. you need 25 rounds to make a truck burn, so its "anti material" on "parked" targets.
atm. its coded with the normal 50. cal bullets that you find in the 50. cals on the cars and them you can deploy in PR now.

@ Playm and Zeno,
Thank you for the info, good to see there's some thought into it.
It doesn't convince me though, because I feel more for a AWM + HK 417 combo.
But thanks for answering my questions. =)

Knowing n00bs ... no.Zeno wrote:i think that will result in "noobs" not taking it because they cant compensate correctly for bulletdrop.
While I see the reasoning why, I'm still very, very much against the MØR and very, very much for the HK417. Someone should PM johnandreas and get his input on this, though I think he's stated earlier that the "sniper = HK417, DMR = AG3 + ACOG" combo is the closest thing to reality. The MØR could - and I mean could, not should - possibly be implemented as a pickup kit in the Norwegian main base, if at all.

Re: [MEDIA] Norwegian Forces
just a short question
does every sniper gets a M82 if he finished the snipercourse ?
-> then you should think about using the M82
if not use the sniperrifle every sniper gets after finishing the snipercourse
