MEC vs Insurgents

I searched and found nothing. I wonder why.

Anyway a Middle Eastern Coalition vs. Insurgents map would be interesting, and not very far-fetched; currently most Islamic countries in the Middle East have active insurgencies composed of various philosophies; from fundamentalist extremists in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, to left-wing, nationalist, US-backed or liberationist insurgency movements in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Turkey, etc.

All of these countries are actively fighting domestic and foreign-aided insurgencies within their own borders. But from a gameplay perspective these would be interesting matchups, seeing these two aspects of the Middle Eastern world go at each other's throats.

These maps could be standard Insurgency-based or more reminiscent of Russia vs Chechan Rebel maps with randomly-placed flags being fought over as opposed to cache-hunting. Or it could pioneer a new gameplay style of "reverse-cache" or "Guerilla mode" where MEC forces are charged with protecting various state assets, from medicinal supplies in hospitals to ammunition stockpiles, weapons caches, army barracks, police stations, etc, to signify a guerilla force actively attacking the army and infastructure of the nation, instead of the usual paradigm of insurgents occupying a city or area with a conventional army attempting to pacify them by destroying their weapons stockpiles.

Mec and Insurgents are both team 2. I think you would have two MEC teams, one as team 1 to fight insurgents and the normal team 2.

I fully support the idea of MEC vs Insurgents. Good to have some change in insurgency.

That was raised by me in the thread I linked to (on the first page of that thread even) and was informed that there is no team 1 vs team 2 restrictions.

I think the anti-MEC insurgency should be depicted as US/Israeli sponsored, so that in addition to AKs, they might be carrying Galils and M16s. Perhaps one of their warriors could be armed with M16, while the cell leader carries a Galil instead of G3A3. Just little detail.

Anyways, I'd love to see the Tunguska in an insurgency map.

its been suggested...by me a few times and others... but the idea makes sence, because in PR MEC is a mighty force to be rekond with. they wont allow Blufore go into iraq and take control. having ins. vs mec is more realisitic cuz ins. are more like rebles. (**** spelling i know but im in a hurry)

I like the idea. Perhaps a group like the PKK fighting to overthrow the government? I've seen that PJACK (Iranian PKK) has some pretty badass "Firebases". I swear, there's a video somewhere on Youtube like this. I would make some maps where the MEC is assaulting a Chechen-like insurgent stronghold (As in the Insurgent has a bunker on a high elevation which the MEC is trying to assault).

Maybe not Israeli backed, but American backed would be nice. I believe that an M16A1 model is being developed. I like the idea of seeing two insurgent rifle men. an AK74 or AK47 and an M16A1 (Ironsights on both).
