Extracting worked like this:

Two team would spawn and (Team A) would have a kit on the ground that was placed on the others (Teams B) spawn or area. This (Team A) kit would be a pick up kit that (Team B) would have to protect from being picked up, think prisoner. (Team A) would have one player (any Team A player) pick it up and be escorted/run to a (Team A) point/flag. And normally this kit was weaponless.

At the time it was ahead of the curve and was really fun, but could also be very bad game. Much worse than any insurgent bottleneck game you've ever played. So it was shelved until we have the time and will to rewrite the code to work within the current PR ruleset.

A mode will be along in the future, it just takes time, R/D, and time again. :-P

VIP was sorta of the same idea except with a vehicle.

Wait so you mean having the vehicle as the Prime goal but having the vehicle look like all the other insurgent vehicles keeping the PSC Team Under a low "profile? with the mixing of AI Bots and Players searching for the VIP and to kill him driving around the place making it all look so real yet still run off the BF2 Engine?
And would have coding that would possibly look like this?

Code: Select all

import host, bf2
from game.scoringCommon import addScore, RPL
from bf2 import g_debug

StrategicVehicles = [XXXXXXXXX]
STRATEGIC_VEHICLE_DESTROY_SCORE = X
STRATEGIC_VEHICLE_DESTROY_TICKET = X

*****Classified*****
A great idea.

Never played that version but sound perfectly cool. Both "Escort" or "Rescue" missions soundsto be fun.

"Rescue" can be an perfect alternative to Insurgent maps. Instead of caches ınsurgent may have hostage houses where coalition have to achieve "find n rescue" operation. But diferent than cache points they may need to transport hostages to base.

My another suggestion would be "Bomb Mission". This kind of game used to be in Counter Strike if anyone remembers. (Oh those days!!!) Specific targets to be destroyed by C4. Coalition have to get in specific building(s) place c4s and get out there in time. Though after placing c4s opposite team still have time to disable bombs. In that condition Coalition need to go all over again.
