PLEASE HELP ! pr.exe shortcut error

Hey not sure if i am in the right section or not but here it goes , so as i have read , and im sure yall have many times, i keep getting the must run pr.exe error msg , so i have tried everything i have read to get it to work but i still get the same error msg.

I am running windows vista 64 bit SP2

The program path is as follows :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr

and the error msg i am still getting is :

you must use "pr.exe" to run project reality...

so i have tried running the battelf2 cleaner , that didnt help , i have fully uninstalled and reinstalled that didnt help , i i have also deleted the mydocuments/battlefield2 folder, and nothing has worked so far , have also tried running im compatability mode and as administrator.

any advice or info would be awesome , im about to go drown my self ugh , thanks again

The Steam version is not supported by PR until v0.9, which is our next version.

lol , im going to kill my little brother , he has failed to mention that , and i have just wasted the last 6 hours of my life trying to fix this lol , thanks for the update, is there an ETA on .9 ? and is there any temp fix for this as he has been begging me to get it fixed.
