but they always win how can they be voer powerd
okay they may not always win but they must win 65%-75% of the time when this doens't happen in real life ied's need to be stopped from being so powerful
anyway IED's would only be stopped within 100M or 200 M of firebase or main base this would also stop Base rape etc. via putting ieds outside main
DannyIMK wrote:its already hard for a enemy vehicle to be near a IED, and i doubt there are cellphone jammers in use by regular armies like USMC/US Army
yes they are we (US) even gave them to the newly formed Iraqi Army read my other posts
ps kilonsight i like your south african picture thing!

IEDs are not as powerful as in 0.85 when it used to take 1 ied to kill a APC , we win 70% because in house to house fight the AKs work best , u might not play as an insurgent much to understand we have to die like 6 or 8 times just to kill 1 American and due to the need of 2 IEDs to kill the APC we now die more than b4 .I play as insurgent everyday ( i hate being as an USMC ) i feel like it is getting harder to kill American really . u cant always bring things in real life to PR , that will destroy the game play . just like the HAT doesnt have lock on mode because then no1 would drive a tank due to 1 shot 1 kill . same in this situation if u put that jam thing in PR i bet u no1 will ever touch the sabber kit , u wont see any IEDs or mines . and please b4 u post anything go play the game see if u could stand it , from what i see no1 who love being as a taliban or insurgent would suggest this idea .

A .303 round at +2500 fps will remove a leg if it impacts the mid to lower thigh, thus resulting in death for most circumstances
No word of a lie ever since i downloaded this mod on January, i havent gone near the BF2 icon lol!
I don't see how this would be so horrible for the insurgents. The jammers would only be mounted on vehicles that actually have them, as in the small trucks, and only a select few in proportion to their RL counterparts. Further, IED's are also outscored in effectiveness by mines and rpg's by a long shot. I don't see how moving towards reality can be such a bad thing. The only way this would make killing apc's harder is if Blufor actually did get their stuff together and always create convoys with jammer vehicles.

agreed maybe only the transport hums get them and not the ones with 50 and of course main bases.
April 18, 2007: The United States has developed a new generation jammer for roadside bombs. In the next year, 10,000 CREW (counter radio-controlled IED electronic warfare) jammers will be delivered to the troops. EDO Communications, the manufacturer, has been providing such equipment since 2003. EDO first developed the Warlock electronic jammer, to prevent the enemy from setting off IEDs. Warlock is currently the most common jammer in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Warlock has gone through many revisions, to add more frequencies and better software.
Rolling along in a convoy, with one or more jammers broadcasting, the troops have an electronic "bubble" that made them safe from an IED they had not spotted. It's not uncommon for vehicles to have had an IED go off behind them, the result of the IED detonation crew continuing to send the signal, believing that there might be something wrong with their equipment. In those cases, the patrol often turns around and goes looking for the enemy team.
In addition to jammers like CREW and Warlock, several of the U.S. Air Force and Navy electronic warfare aircraft are able to perform the same functions, but over a wider area. This was often used when American troops were in action against the enemy, shutting down IED detonation over the entire combat area, as U.S. troops moved around seeking out and fighting the enemy.
One problem with the jamming was that it killed cell phone operation, as well as use of many other remote electronic devices Iraqi civilians in the area might be trying to use. The Iraqis complain to each other, but asking the U.S. troops to shut it off would be futile, so they don't. The CREW jammer has lots of new features, most of which are secret. Terrorist groups have tried to find ways around the jammer, but have been unsuccessful. Most roadside bombs are now set off via a wire connection between the detonator and a nearby guy pressing a button. This has caused more terrorist casualties, and generally made it more difficult for the bombers. The big improvement in CREW is that it is easier to add new frequencies, and the jammer interferes less with other military communications and sensors.
pfft.... sounds like to much work to do...
how would YOU! like it if you planted a trap and waited 10-15 mins to kill somthing but then not be able to from the safty where you hide.
Mines rarely kill enemy vehicles anyways, IED attacks usually get sabotaged and insurgents are already weak enough without bandages.... ive bled to death from a sprained ankle many times because of my hemophiliac insurgent dropping off a 6 foot wall.
And rpg-7s are nice, but having to guess where to aim and usually missing your first shot to gauge the distance and adjust usually means you die before getting off the next shot.
The IED should not be changed at all.
And you say insurgents win almost always.... thats because bluefor focus on kills instead of caches, a good bluefor team maybe gets 4 caches before the game is up....too much vehicle whoring and FOB building.
boilerrat wrote:Mines rarely kill enemy vehicles anyways, i always thought they killed anythign that drives over them
IED attacks usually get sabotaged never heard of that happening its not even possible unless you kill the sapper who should have hidden well and defended his position with grenade traps
and insurgents are already weak enough without bandages there are disscusstions to correct this if wish it to be cahnged
.... ive bled to death from a sprained ankle many times because of my hemophiliac insurgent dropping off a 6 foot wall. then u shouldn;t have jumped of a 6 foot wall, if you were in a rush then you'd likly to hurt yourself in real life anyway maybe to fix this you could change the bleed trigger from 85%to like 75%
the answers in red and possible fixes in blue(bad and priobs disscussed solutions)
i revived this thread because the BLUFOR today on a game lost all assets with in about 10 mins due to IED's
this was not the fault of the crews it was just that the insurgents had been highly organised(or at leats 1 squad was) and it had planted mines and surrounded them with IED's so even if you did get out of the area of the miens you'd be blown to peices even infantry struggled to survive long so ethier combat enginers should be bale to disable IED's at a distance or certain vehicals should be able to as well
