Replacing the Sappers SKS

Well, I have been playing on Chicago Insurgency a lot lately, And I've been using the Sapper a bit more. I was wondering, do ALL "sappers" carry a SKS, or run around with just a pistol, and the rest of their loadout?

I'm sure that not many people would like it, but it would be more "realistic" to have both sapper kits, the one with a pistol and the SKS, they would have the same exact loadouts, just named differently, like Sapper (Light) then the other one would be Sapper (Heavy) or something like that, It would be like choosing Ironsights or Scoped when on the Blu-For etc.

I've searched the forums for this and the ***, so if I did miss a result, please do post.

I think it's a reasonable tradeoff. By taking the class you get a rifle that is generally inferior to coalition weapons in CQC, but you get lots of explosives to set ambushes with, and the rifle is still quite useful at medium range.

i actually think the insurgent sapper should have an AK47 but only with like 2 +1 banana clips.

Its not insta kill, but you actually are able to damage them.... its not like their heads are made of abram's armor

No I mean I thought they took out hit detection for heads all together...

No. That would be stupid, to say the least.
Headshots just aren't instant kills. They won't send you straight to the DEAD screen but the hit detection is there.

ok thanks. I just heard otherwise from a few others before. I'll take your word for it though as I too thought it was equally retarded.

Are you sure it was SKS?

Because I love SVD too and counter-sniping those fools on the main base roof is great fun
