2x headset question

I currently dont have one fully functional headset, and either the money to invest in a new one. So im running the microphone through a USB headset(where the phones are broken) and the phones through a normal jack headset(where the microphone is broken). Problem here is that ingame, I cant set it to receive input from one hardware and output from another.. Any tricks ?

Not a trick, but you can change your default recording device in Windows through your sound properties in your control panel or by right clicking the sound icon in your windows toolbar. I actually have the same set up as you do. USB headset-only using the Mic. Regular jack headset-just using the speakers.

I sorted it out on a bit more handyman level, I simply cut off the entire deadlink microphone
