Humvee Ammo Supply

Post by Joeziah »

Instead of dropping a ammo box off the back of a humvee.

Can you make it so you resupply off the back side of the humvee.

It did but that can be exploited easily, that is why the crate was put in.

Imagine a HAT sitting right behind a HUMVEE and spamming missile after missile.

yeah it used to be such that light vehicles rearmed you (about as much as a supply crate now) but it was a little imbalanced because the HAT kit could take a hummer into the hills, and when spotted just move positions, taking his ammo with him. It's a lot better as it is now IMO.

Yesterday I witnessed something similar to this tbh. A US H-AT guy on qwai, driving around in his HMV, switching to 50cal for infantry engagements, seat switching to avoid fire, run ppl over, jump out and fire the H-AT vs vehicles and rince repeat. It will just give people like this guy alot more chance to utilize this one-man-rambo-like rampage. Not a bad idea in the end, but just too easy to abuse.

Here's an idea, couldn't we code the crewman to rearm people in the vehicle, like it worked with support class in vanilla BF2, but make the ammo bag unusable. So in essenace a crewman has to be in a vehicle and the friendlies have to be in the vehicle to get their ammo. Of course this only works with crewman kit vehicles, maybe code a squad leader the same way for the hummers.

but this would still result in inexhaustable supply? there still needs to be a supply chain to reflect realism and also balance, e.g. its something the INS can ambush
